Minimalist & Warming APT - Close to CBD and Valley

The property is in a good location, close to good restaurants and the city.

When we were notified by the host that our apartment was ready, we were advised that the prior guests had spilt something on the sofa. The host stated that the sofa cleaner were available to come and clean the next day at 7am or 7pm, very odd times for guests on holiday. Given this was a 2 night stay it was extremely inconvenient. When asked if we could use the sofa the host suggested that we place a towel down the on it however upon arrival at the apartment we found there were only 2 towels available. The spillage was fairly significant and we were unable to utilise the sofa during our stay. We note that the fire alarm was covered over. A bit worrying.

Perfect location for the event I was in town for.

I arrived at 9 pm with an Uber for business to a city that is unknown to me. To collect the keys from a lockbox strapped to a metal fence 1 block away across the road from the garage entrance to the property was absolutely ridiculous. The hosts need to find a better way for delivering keys. I have used booking.com on many occasions and at no time was this property listed as an airbnb - in fact upon reading important information the guest is given the impression there is a reception to show a photo id - then you get this email telling you to collect keys - in the dark - in a location different to the the official street address for the property - I cannot recommend this property.

Key pick up was a joke, carpet stains in bedroom, photos show the property beautifully staged - it's quite bare and looking tired - rips in couch, mould in bathroom, tea and coffee amenities not in sealed pouches. smoke alarm was not working - had been removed from ceiling and was on tv console - sliding door to balcony is fused shut - only natural ventilation was small window in bedroom. Very deceiving from checkin description, cleanliness and on a safety level.

Nothing. Don’t stay here!

Air conditioning didn’t work, even in the foyer of the building. It faces West, and it was 28 degrees inside when we checked in!
