"Perfect for a quiet and relaxing weekend with our dog"

10.0

I'd never stayed in an old village school before, such a cool idea! Perfect location for a small break away from our busy/stressful city lives. We had a garden, trails and endless walks pretty much from the doorstep which was brilliant for our dog. Sadly, the weather wasn't the best and we had a very wet weekend, but that happens in the West of Scotland :) very lucky to have a lovely place to cosy up in. The Literature apartment was plenty of space for the three of us. Our hosts were lovely, very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend!

"Secluded and relaxing with amazing views in the area"

10.0

Lovely village and location, a very short walk from Loch Awe, with nearby woodland to ramble in. So quiet at night too. Owners were very nice, friendly and welcoming. Some amazing views in the area.

"After hours school tranquility"

9.0

Escape to tranquility! This apartment was the perfect getaway for those seeking peace and quiet. Nestled in a truly remote corner of Scotland, with Loch Awe just steps away, we couldn't have asked for a more idyllic location. The apartment itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although a compact children's room with bunk beds, it is incredibly cosy with a spacious open plan living room and kitchen. We spent our days exploring the beautiful surroundings, enjoying walks by the lake and soaking up the tranquility. Be aware that this property is very remote, so come prepared with supplies and a long narrow forest road! However, that isolation is exactly what we were looking for and it truly enhanced the sense of escape. Kids were hoping for snow, adults for northern lights. So we got clouds and rain. But nevertheless the landscape is worth it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get away from it all and reconnect with nature.
