SleepWell Apartments Itäkeskus, direct metro to city center and bus to airport

Location was near to metro station and shopping center. Appartment was nice with all main amenities needed for a family.

The main building door didn't open with the password, so we had to wait for someone to open the door from inside the building. Good to replace the dining table which is very shaky. Also, internet speed wasn't good enough for any streaming service.

Was near the metro station and other public transport (there's a direct bus from the airport). There is a shopping mall and a 24/7 K-Citymarket 5mins walk away. Quiet neighborhood. The apartment had all the essentials, especially the kitchenette was convenient for us. Good view if you ignore the traffic.

Wasn't exactly like in the pictures. The couch was kind of dirty and cushions had stains. Beds were on the harder side for us, even with the mattress topper. Pillows were kind of flat too unless you put extra underneath. Cleaning was expected at the end of the stay but they give you an option to pay extra cleaning fee for them to clean for you.

The apartment is spacious and the higher floors have wonderful views. All necessary amenities for a long stay are provided. There is a wonderfully provisioned supermarket right next door. Proximity to the metro is very convenient for travel to the city center.

The apartment had not been cleaned properly before our arrival and we found lots of hairs all over the place - including on the bed, on the towels, and even stuck to the dishes. The bathroom did not match the standard of the apartment and we also faced issues with foul smells from the drain pipes building up.

Close to the train station so we could get out of there quick!

The property looked nothing like the photos. The most basic place I have ever stayed and the place was so full of dust when we got there, the blinds were littered with dust and my whole family had to take an antihistamine, even the extractor fans in every room were filthy. One of our beds had a stain on it and hairs all over the duvet. The taps don’t stay in the hot position so if you want hot water you have to hold it the entire time. The location is not pleasant due to a rehab place next door and a sex toy shop which my boys had the pleasure of asking what those plastic willies were!

This company has tried hard to be extremely high tech. The trouble is that they did not pull it off well at all. We could not get into the apartment because the email with the access code to a lock box was never sent. The telephone support person was friendly and helpful and was able to access the front door, the elevator, and the apartment door remotely and so we got in. Then we had a key. Way too much work. Apartment design was unusual and very very poor in as much as there were no windows that opened and very little (almost none) central air flow. The windows were south facing and there were many. The apartment got very hot. The ‘apartment manual’ had to be accessed on line and then was found to not even have correct information about how to adjust the thermostats to optimize the little central air that came in. I had to use AI and the internet to read about the thermostats. Not sufficient to cool the apartment. There was an additional portable A/C unit in the apartment but it was not plugged in nor was in vented to an outside opening. I had to find the opening and then route the A/C vent hose over myself and then arrange to plug up the rest of the opening with something so the hot exhaust did not just come back in. These things were enough for me to give the apartment a ‘fair’ rating.
