Not able to braai on patio

Onsite facilities were really nice, spacious resort, close to town and amenities

The smell of the house was so damp, it was really unpleasant and I would suggest bad for our health breathing in the damp spores. The house was equipped very basically with no 'comforts' - but I would have forgiven all of this except for the damp smell. We notified the agent so had to vacate the property for half a day while the ozone machine was used to fix the problem. We returned however to no difference, same smell, no communications and assume the machine was not even used.

Reception was easy to find. They provided a map and route to get to the house.

The house was very hot. No aircon or fans were on upon arrival. Housekeeping should put aircon on before check in, to ensure a cool and comfortable first impression on arrival. The pool lounger was broken. The in house telephone to contact reception did not work. It was never attended, even on the day of departure. I was politely told by reception to use my cellphone to phone them. The safe in the bedroom didn't work. Not at all, not even the override manual key was able to work. We couldn't lock away our valuables. The front desk staff/ maintenance staff never followed up on any of the issues. I was told to put a complaint in writing and its a private home and it should be the booking agents problem. Not the service expected from this establishment.

Spacious and great for a big family. We were 3 adults and 2 children. The kids had enough space to play inside and outside the house. It has a nice deck and swimming pool. 3 beautiful bathrooms - 2 ensuite. Main bedroom has a big walking in wardrobe to pack clothes. Nice forest and bushes at the deck side.The highlight for the kids was Santa Claus delivering them gifts on Christmas in the morning.

The braai area on the deck was locked due to a fire incident that happened at the resort.The roofs are thatched. However, I appreciated that a braai stand was given as a substitute with an instruction to only use charcoal, not wood. Recommend a bigger braai stand. Housekeeping cleaned unit in the afternoons.
