Ocean Front Apartment

We lived the location, it is very close to a few wonderful beaches with calm, warm water. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. You have groceries, coffee shops, and fast food restaurants. The apartment had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had warm water with no interruptions and if you want you can cook anything you need in the kitchen. We haven't had a chance to try the pool, but is it available. Also, a wonderful view from the apartment.

The view from our 17th floor balcony was amazing! The host was also amazing. I messaged her many times over the course of several months with questions and she always promptly replied!

Location is beach front and views were unbeatable. Security goes above and beyond. Gated community. Clean and comfortable bed. Everything you’d need in kitchen is provided and then some. Host was prompt in communication. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas all there for use at beach .

Bathroom needs a thorough cleaning and updating . A Fresh coat of paint throughout would make a major improvement .

The view is gorgeous, bed is comfortable and sleeping with the sound of the waves was priceless. Alvy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You have everything that you need, the condo is well equip and the location is great. I am looking forward to return..

This condo met our expectations perfectly for an ocean front stay in Puerto Rico. The unspoiled ocean view from the balcony is simply spectacular. Luquillo is a wonderful area, and we were impressed that even in the summer, the beach in front of the condo was never packed. It almost felt like a private beach. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom and our son used the futon. It was plenty comfortable for the three of us. We did not do any cooking, but did use the fridge to store items for breakfast and picnic lunches so it was great to have that and the coolers available. We also loved that pretty much everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute drive. We did spend a day in San Juan, which is only about 30-40 mins. away. It's a lovely area.

Really the only drawbacks to the unit are the location of the AC units. It's great that the unit has air conditioning. (I'm 100-percent certain without it, in the Puerto Rico summer, you'd be miserable.) But the condensers for the AC take up a pretty good chunk of the balcony and they put off a LOT of heat. So it makes sitting out on the balcony table almost unbearable during the day. The only time we could really enjoy sitting out there was first thing in the morning when it was cool enough to shut off the ACs and enjoy a sunrise, and a couple times late night. The only other downsides were no exhaust fan in the bathroom. With only one restroom, if someone does a #2, let's just say it takes a while to clear it out even with some air freshener spray. Second, there really were not enough towels provided, especially given that there is no on-site laundry in the condo itself or in the building. In a beach town, you're going to pretty much be using 2 towels a day per person--one for the beach and one to shower with. You need to air out the sandy beach towels on the balcony while you shower. We were constantly drying and reusing the towels for the three of us. If you had four or five people, there would definitely not be enough towels to go around.

My favorite thing about Alvy’s property would probably be what everyone else says… the view! Absolutely stunning. I also loved that she had things for us to use at the beach, chairs, coolers, and umbrella etc. That extra touch was so appreciated. Also, Alvy’s communication, she was awesome about getting with us and getting back to us with loads of info, that is what makes her one of the best hosts. This wasn’t in Alvy’s condo but at the bottom of the condos themselves, there was a huge library with books, movies and games. I am an avid reader so I thought this was so cool!

I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like. We had a great experience from great communication before our trip, check in, the awesome staff that worked at the condos, the location, all the way to check out.
