Paddy Field Villa Midigama

Location was great.

Be aware that the balcony room is not guaranteed, I was booking based on this or atleast given the impression it was a shared common area. I was given the room downstairs and although spacious did not have the same ambience. The room also smelled strongly of cleaning agent the first two nights and occasionally a pungent sewage smell was present. If you are planning on being there during the day it can be very noisy with kids shouting and screaming beside the room and loud music being played by the neighbour and machinery being used.

Lovely place all surrounded by beautiful nature. The hosts are a lovely family. They were so kind and generous, always willing to help. The room was clean. As well as the shower. There was always hot water. The room has a kitchen and fridge inside, and that was a big plus for me. Thank you.

Siamo stati benissimo. L'accoglienza della famiglia è stata splendida: sono persone d'oro, molto discrete ma pronte ad aiutare in qualsiasi momento. La posizione della casa è ottima perché è in un contesto silenzioso e tranquillo, lontano dal caos. Grazie ancora per l'ospitalità!

Nothing it was great value

I stayed in the non-aircon which is downstairs. The balcony in the photos is the air-con room. You will stay next door to the family. It’s a village location approx 1km from the Midigana junction near the beach. Within this price bracket is exceptionally good value. The family are kind, generous & helpful. There are buses from the junction that make Weligama, Ahangama, Mirissa easily accessible. So you understand you will stay near to the rice paddy but no direct view downstairs. Kitchen facilities are a big bonus.
