In an old palace

Old and interesting building in very handy area. Extremely hot so the fan was essential.

Room smaller than expected and owner had not been told we wanted two beds, so we had to pay extra for the linen. Shower incomplete so no way to fix the hose in a usable position and no soapholder; bathroom dark and stuffy ; limited cutlery, no bread knife or egg slice.

The owner received us very welcoming. He was always available for our requests and information.

It was spacious, with everything you could possibly need, plus extra little welcoming treats. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The apartment faced onto an interior courtyard on one side and a back garden on the other, so it was very quiet even though it was right down in the historic city center. The owner was very friendly and gave us great restaurant recommendations. There were lots of cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and a local market with a bakery, all within about 2 blocks.

We wished we could have stayed longer.
