Portrush Marine Apartments flat1

Excellent location in the centre of Portrush, close to all attractions and restaurants. Apartment was clean and tidy and had everything that you need. Lovely view from balcony and great communication.

The location is superb, it’s across the street from the train station and a short walking distance to anywhere in the town. It has a lovely sea view from the upstairs windows/balcony. It has free WiFi. The owner gave us early access due to the cold weather 12:00 instead of 3pm

It has a few maintenance issues, though the owner did say her handyman& plumber had been snowed in and unable to get to the property to sort the problems. We were made aware of the plumbing issues in the upstairs bathroom but there are a few more dangerous issues that we should have been told about. The 3rd stair has collapsed so needed to be avoided plus a couple of the balcony hinges were loose or missing. The front downstairs bedroom was freezing even with the heating on, I think the radiator might need bled. The living room sofa would benefit from a few cushions, as it’s not the comfiest and the pillows could be upgraded. We were only there for one night and due to the location it was fine for what we needed but think it could benefit from a fresh coat of fresh paint and a few soft furnishings

Location, owners were approachable and pleasant- have tried to make property look well, and provide everything required to improve stay

Just my parties opinion, The smell of damp was overpowering throughout the property even with plug in air fresheners; If the stairs were not carpeted could potentially go through a few of the steps, we were mainly sleeping in apartment otherwise would be difficult to spend a longer period there,

The flat I close to the centre which wa great, but was so unclean and the smell was so over powering we’d to leave every window open on arrival until bedtime. Bottle caps and old pieces of food were laying around the side when we mentioned it we were met with ‘why are you looking around the sofa anyways’ ( we had small children and were concerned they’d put stuff in there mouth). There were bed clothes in the sofa bed that we thought about using when we were chilling for the evening, but were covered in hair and stains, we were met with ‘ why are you looking to use the bedding’ when we didn’t book and extra person, Honestly couldn’t wait to leave this property! Best suited for stags or partying weekends.
