Shannon Oaks Apartments

Apartment was comfortable and very central. Super close to the pub and aldi. Lovely forest walk right behind the apartment down to the lake and castle. Perfect size for us, beds were comfortable and kitchen was relatively well stocked with cups, plates, pots and pans etc. Area was quiet and we were not disturbed.

Some small pieces of debris left eg used tisses left in a drawer and old contact lens on the floor so wasnt sure about the cleanliness. Also there was 12 of us staying in the apartment and we only received 9 towels. Asked for 3 more and they responded saying they would pass on the message and try get it sorted bu we never got them. No blinds in one of the bedrooms

Nothing! It was spacious. The building should have been condemned.

Everything! The place was freezing on arrival and to find it the directions were completely appalling. That was the best bit! The heating down stairs didn't work. There was no linen or blankets!! There were no towels!!! The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The floors upstairs were very unstable underfoot and felt like the floor would collapse. We decided to have a shower (couldn't wash our hair as there was no towels so of course no hair dryer) we used our own t-shirt as a towel. The shower was ridiculous as the water wouldn't come out properly however their was water leaking all over the bathroom floor flowing into the bedrooms so we identified why the floor upstairs was soft and unstable it is completely rotten. My husband is a builder and identified that it was unstable and unsafe. So if you DO NOT want to shower or sleep in a bed with linen and freeze this is the place for you. I have never stayed in a worse place and this was meant to be a romantic getaway. A backpacker would have been more comfortable and a lot cheaper. I contacted the owner and they said they would come the next day. No customer service and we were leaving the next day.

The fact it was dirty and the majority of Apartments where used by Asylum seekers which was not how I imagined a holiday let to be.No Tv signal,dishwasher full of dirty water,bottle of cigarette butts on the balcony,dusty,showers that barely worked,back door that didn’t lock and generally didn’t feel safe.
