The Blyde - Crystal Lagoon Penthouse Apartment

I liked that the host was attending to our request whenever we had anything to inquire about. He was helpful.

I didn't like that we didn't have access to internet. Our host bought new router and installed it, but after 20 minutes it stopped working again. So in 2 nights we were there,we had 20 minutes of internet.

it's a long list: 1st, there were very many cockroaches, including many baby ones in the kitchen. The landlord stated that he knew that people in the building were complaining about cockroaches when I informed him. 2nd: after lots of back and forth with owner and booking.com, they refunded me for 1 night only, even though I stayed there for 3 hours total before I noticed the infested kitchen. 3rd: it's advertised as a penthouse but what this really means is that it's on the 3rd floor, no elevator, and it is no different than any other apartment, it was a small one bedroom. 4th: the laundry was left out on the balcony drying, taking up most of the space, so you could not even sit out there. Not that you wanted to as the only view was of the apartment building across the small street. 5th: I have no idea where the supposedly gorgeous swimming pool and beach are. The compound is huge with very many apartment buildings and I did not see any pool as I was riding around trying to find my building. 6th: while security is very important, the security in the compound is TIGHT, it's a process to get in and get out.

The apartment was clean, the owner of the apartment was friendly and helpful when ever we needed assistance from him.

The times you spend at the lagoon is unlimited. The food and drinks at the restaurant were delicious and affordable. And the staff at the restaurant was so welcoming.

To allow to visit the lagoon even on the day you check out. To access the lagoon, we had to go to the gate where we entered to get stamped . The room at Block 122 unit 1252 was not what I expected in terms of one of the toilet was not flushing, and the cupboard at the main bedroom was broken and another part of the cupboard had cleaning material. I actually didn't use those cupboards due to limited space and again the bins in the bathroom were not put neatly and the lids were not properly closed they were flipped. The hand washing soap was just just finished just tiny in the bottle. It was as if they didn't know there are visitors coming. When we got there on Friday firstly the pins to enter the gate were not opening as well as check-out day, there was no electricity when we got there on friday and I had to call the host is when she wanted to tell me at 6pm. I know they said its self catering but at least offer tea/coffee and sugar, we are only there for 2nights. To top it all wifi data was depleted on Saturdaylate and we couldn't login to the TV until Saturday morning.and most of our day we spent outside when we came back the data was depleted.
