Rooms at Martha Jones

Picking up keys from manager of nearby store worked like clockwork as specified in instructions — but don’t be late! We found the owner responded to our admittance questions promptly on the day before we arrived. No need for panic! The town was charming, fun to walk around for a few hours. We found excellent pubs and restaurants for our short stay. Recommend Whitehall gastropub for serious or casual meals. Cute cafe/b’fast in the railway station, or cheap breakfast at The Pen Cob Wetherspoon. The people here are very helpful. We explored and saw some beauty. But 1 or 2 days is enough.

The downtown stores mostly close by 4-5pm, it’s deadsville in the evening.

The continental breakfast was adequate

Charming Ruby in nearby gift shop met us and handed over keys. Breakfast was fine..pity the instant porridge was sweetened (golden syrup flavour!). Nice fresh fruit and yogurt. Comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom. Rooms nice and warm. This helped dry off our clothes..it was very wet!

Our room was at the top of the house! Stairs to reach it were exhausting! Partner thought the tv was poor quality. Bath towels rather small for two, big people.

An excellent space with a fantastic en suite. Loved the decor, the breakfast hamper and all the other little touches. Would highly recommend.

Narrow stairs

Exceptionally well equipped and furnished to a very high comfortable standard. Very clean and spacious with a spotlessly clean bathroom including a great bath with shower & screen. We stayed here 2 years ago and it is still of the same standard as then. Tea,even Earl Grey, coffee, snacka, & biscuits provided, fresh milk, yoghurt & water in the fridge. A good continental breakfast wirh choice of cereals, porridge, fresh fruit & croissants for breakfast. Ear plugs provided as street outside can be a bit noisy. Highly recommended.

Woken up by bin men collection at 5.30am. Unable to close the window fully to shut outnoise. Needs attention

The key collection was done at the shop below the property. and the lady was very helpful. We were extremely grateful to be let into the property earlier than planned. We used public transport for this holiday and had a large case with us as we were travelling across Wales. It was a relief to be able to put the luggage away and so we could explore the town more easily. We liked the little kitchen area with the fridge. The inclusion of milk, water and juice drinks as well as some cereals and porridge for breakfast was a welcome touch.
