Appartamenti Il Castellaccio

The location was great, in this very peaceful village close to the lake. Comfortable beds. The air conditioning was fantastic - not just cool but also very quiet.

There were a few things missing in the kitchen, though we could make do with those that were there. No tea towels (though the host immediately brought one), no fish slice, not many pots, some breakfast cereal bowls would be good. It would have been nice to know which of the three apartments we were being assigned to.

Wonderfully situated and well-equipped apartment with two! balconies allowing a stunning view of the lake. A little beach, two excellent restaurants and a well-assorted grocery just around the corner, parking lot with charging station nearby. We will certainly come back one day!

The location inside the narrowed streets of the old city.

Many, many narrow steep stairs. With the suitcases it was difficult. The apartment was cold during the evening and night with no air-conditioning.

Gorgeous place - we had the upstairs apartment which had two balconies, both with a view over Lake Como. A really lovely place to stay and chill out. The village is charming with two friendly restaurants, a bar and a shop; we loved it but possibly not the place for you if like the bright lights!

Be aware that the one shop in the village is closed all day Monday (probably Sunday as well) and it's a bit of a drive to the next nearest place.
