San Giorgio Luxury Apartment Taormina-Panoramic Pool & Parking Space

Great location..The pool area was lovely but crowded.... the regulars seem to rule the area. The washing machine was great . Main bedroom was comfortable. Big veranda. Loredana was lovely and helped us carry luggage to the apartment ! The apartment was clean.

Oh dear where do I start! Firstly NO ONE tells you there’s over 120 steps to just reach the apartment!! So if you have heavy luggage reconsider!! We were shown on arrival where the main electrical switch board was in case the electricity turned off in the apartment… (this was a red flag!!) we were told never to run the 3 split system air conditioners in the apartment at once ..which we didn’t, however one night, we had two running, and I switched on the kettle, and the power went out!!! we ended up having to go downstairs twice during our 3 night stay to turn electricity back on .. beds in second room are small , not really suitable for larger adults .. sofa bed is really uncomfortable, and no block out curtains in the lounge room for the person sleeping on the sofa bed . Feel like the apartment needs to be freshened up .. it’s dark and it’s dated furnishings make it look and feel old. Definitely needs a freshen up and something done about the electricity …not sure if there’s other apartments within the complex that are better ..

We knew we were in trouble when we were told to use only one air conditioner at a time, and not change the settings on the remote. All three aircons don’t work and for the money we paid and to have no aircon in the peak of summer and not be able to sleep is not acceptable. These are things that should have been conveyed to us when booking not at the time of arrival.

Fabulous accommodation in the heart of Taormina. The balcony is spacious with a view that is breathtaking! Sunrise is a must. The pool is gorgeous, sparkling cool water, plenty of sunlounges, shade and again a gorgeous view overlooking the Ionian Sea. The location is excellent. In a few steps you can find yourself in the heart of the charming Taormina shopping district. We located a mini market ‘Incoop’ close by for essentials plus we ate in one night. There are countless restaurants, gelato stores, gift stores and many historical sites all within walking distance. There is free covered parking at the property and our host Loredana met us at the entrance to guide us inside. We were also grateful that Loredana facilitated an early check-in. Thank you! Another huge plus at this property was the washing machine, air conditioning and access to Wi-Fi. A bit of tourist advice if you are planning on walking down to the beach. Maybe consider the buses or the cable car. We used a winding stair pathway, located close to the entrance to the parking garage as per Google Maps. This path was overgrown in places with foliage and requires a decent level of fitness for the return climb. However it does take you very close to Spisone beach and we needed access to this beach for one of our boat tours. We also visited Etna one day for a tour and it was an easy drive from Taormina. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Taormina and Loredana’s property. The incredible view, sparkling pool, parking and location in the heart of Taormina makes this property excellent. We highly recommend San Giorgio for your stay in Taormina.

No love given to this apartment. Everything was grubby and dirty. The kettle had scum build up and was not able to use it. Plates and cutler grubby. Overall dusty and not clean. The cups in the bathroom had toothpaste marks from previous people. There is no block out blinds in the lounge room for the sofa bed. The beds were uncomfortable. The shower clogs in the main bathroom. You can’t read the buttons on the air conditioner and not allowed to use all 3 air conditioners at once.

Location was perfect and pool was amazing! Apartment suited our needs as we stayed for a week
