Beautifully furnished flat in the city center JBAL1-1

My daughter and i stayed here for a week. My daughter in the main bedroom and i had the sofa bed. The apartment was very clean, providing everything we needed. It was beautifully renovated in an old building full of charming features. The apartment is spacious and light. It was a joy to stay there. The location is perfect for exploring the streets of Valetta, while being tucked away in a more quiet street away from the nightlife. Valetta city centre is an excellent place to stay to explore the rest of Malta. The bus station is easy to use with busses everywhere for only a couple of Euros. Taxis are cheap and reliable. I used the Bolt app. The fast ferry to Gozo is a short walk from the apartment and perfect for a day trip. However I would recommend the car ferry in the North of the island for anyone who doesn't travel well on the sea. I was v ill using the fast ferry as it is v choppy out to sea. I highly recommend this apartment.

Advice for using taxis. The street numbers in Republic Street can be confusing. There is another 198 near to the Hard Rock Cafe, which is a 5min walk away. The apartment is near the St Elmos Fort end of the street. We found it easier to ask the taxi driver to take us to the conference centre by the entrance to the Fort. From there the taxi can go straight along the side streets and join Republic Street right outside the apartment. Taxis in Malta take cash. However there is an ATM opposite the apartment.

Location, apartment as described with good facilities. Easy to communicate with staff through WhatsApp.

Nothing - can be a bit noisy as it’s on the Main Street. Would recommend bringing some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The apartment was exactly like the photos,so tastefully decorated including all the necessary equipment.Our stay was really pleasant, quiet neighbourhood close to everything we needed.Really smooth check in and out.The staff absolutely accomodating.

Maybe one tiny little detail to mention,the lack of adequate lighting on the stairway.Other than that everything was perfect!

Deposit charged rather than blocked on a card, ridiculous check out policies, e.g. 50 euro deducted from the deposit if a light is left on
