Villa Malu

Beautiful views and a lot of outside space. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the hot tub but anyone wishing to do so has enough privacy. The host met us nearby and took us to the villa. We arrived quite late and were very pleased to see milk and croissants for breakfast. There was also a packet of pasta and a jar of tomato sauce in case we wanted to make dinner. This was a lovely, very thoughtful touch.

Unfortunately the shower was too cold and the beds uncomfortable. The mattresses appear to have been overused and no longer provide enough support. Although the views are amazing looking down on Sorrento, it’s a very expensive drive up there by taxi (about 40 euros each way) if you don’t have a car. There are steps to go down but there’s no light at night. There’s a bus that runs every hour but stops at 7pm.

It was a great stay at Villa Malu; There were all essential things; nice house and awesome view; Great place to spend vacation with friends/ family; great view, authentic and quite atmosphere; I would say that it’s a good deal regarding quality/price in this area; Possibility lo leave a car without additional thoughts ( the area is closed/private entrance to the territory of the house with an automatic gate), ping pong table, bath tub, grill);

Before to book the house I’ve checked almost all reviews and would like to add some info which might be useful for other guests; Agree that the entrance road to arrive to the house is pretty narrow; ( however it’s accessible and there is nothing surprising based on the landscape of this geographical area), so it’s absolutely okay; Pressure in the shower is not very powerful but again it’s okay you can have an adequate shower without any problem; So, these issues they are exist but its absolutely fine; ( at least it was okay for us); Nearby cats might arrive to visit you ( if you like cats it’s perfect point otherwise keep it in mind that they will also relax next to you, they are pretty friendly, however just to take it into consideration;

The views never disappointed day or night! Want close to Sorrento yet given a non tourist feel - Malu is your place! It's one of our favorite villas in Italy. Once you get over the 1st drive up, you're all good from there. Jacuzzi in August, you say? Just don't turn the heat up, and it's absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Walk down is slightly longer than we wanted and expected, but we stayed down mountain longer and even went horseback riding on Mount Vasuvius - I mean, who can say they went riding a horse on a volcano!

Prepare for a slightly cooler shower with less water pressure if you want it warm or lukewarm is all.

The place had amazing views, the jacuzzi was good with great views.

The water pressure of shower was poor.

The views over Sorrento from the property were amazing and it was great to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. There was a nice welcome basket on arrival, which was much appreciated!

We had no luck in catching a bus back to the property, as they are somewhat infrequent & unreliable and the walk back up the steep hill is challenging in the heat!

The view is great! There is a lemon garden, bbq and table tennis in the yard. The rooms are spacious. I really appreciated the fact that the dishwasher sponge was brand new. There was dishwasher detergent and liquid soap. These things are typically missing in private apartments when rented. We arrived very late at night and didn't have time to do grocery shopping, so having a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge just saved our lives (my children are fueled by milk).

The jacuzzi was not working (not heating up the water). Getting up and down the hill is not recommended for small children.

Our host contact was excellent and explained everything about the property and location. The location and proximity to the town was great.

Small streets, but that's to be expected.

Raffaele was an amazing host, went above and beyond! Beautiful, peaceful location.

It is a big climb to achieve the rewards of the location but worth it. When you first arrive get a taxi from the port if you have suitcases, unless you understand the language and bus system, once settled the climb is achievable and worth it.

The view was spectacular! Quiet neighbourhood. The house was big with a Nice garden. Raeffele gave us a warm welcome when we arrived!

The Street is very narrow, with a big car it is a challenge. Unfortunately the heating of the jacuzzi did not function during our stay.
