Villa Malu

The wonderful hosts met us in town to show us the way to the property and around the facilities. We had a bottle of fizz waiting for us and an Easter cake! There was an excellent coffee machine, coffee pods and breakfast bits provided to get us off to an excellent start! Netflix for the kids, ping pong table was a big hit! Hot tub looking over Mount Vesuvius! What’s not to like!!

A real gem of a property on the hillside above Sorrento. Clean and well equipped with a few basic groceries for our arrival. We were met in town and escorted up to the villa so there were no concerns on struggling to find it. Hot tub is well positioned and there's a table tennis table with equipment too. Also a BBQ for the warmer evenings and plenty of outdoor furniture and space. Netflix on the main TV was a bonus! There's a path to walk down to Sorrento - it's about 20-25 mins and is downhill with 200-250 steps (depending on which way you go at the bottom of the main path). Consequently it's up all the way back and I recommend a torch if it's going to be dark for your walk!

It's a small point but the shower is pretty weak. The turning into the driveway is pretty sharp so be aware if your hiring a large car (we had a couple of inches clearance around our Seat Leon estate).

We enjoyed the views, the hot tub, and the spacious rooms. The host was kind enough to leave snacks, milk, coffee and croissants and a bottle of champagne before our stay. He also connected us with a person who spoke English that assisted with any issues, and gave recommendations. The villa is located in the hills amongst many fruit/vegetation which is cool to see.

This is in Priora, a suburb of Sorrento, and a bit of a treck to walk into the center of town, and taxis can be pricy each time from center of town to Priora/from the airport. However, the view from the property overlooking Sorrento is fantastic.
