Taormina Wonderful View

The view was magnificent. Very close to the city center and the cable car

The balconies of the houses on the same side are adjacent, you can easily go from balcony to balcony. And there was no lock on the balcony of the house we stayed in, moreover, the balcony door would not even close completely. Also, the room could not be locked from the inside. So, it is quite weak in terms of security. The room was very different from the photos. It says there is a washing machine in the facilities, but there is not.

Location and the view.

Apartment is very tiny. We had only one big suitcase, I can't imagine if we would have two. The most bizzare thing is big bath next to the bed (there is also a separate bathroom).

Location was good

Renovations were being done at the building and we could not sleep as expected while being on holiday 😅 Jacuzzi cleanliness a bit meh

The location was reasonably close to shops and cafés. The view from the apartment was over the cable car, that took people down to the beach, out over the Ioanian sea to the north. The air conditioning unit in the apartment worked well.

The double bed consisted of two thin single mattresses that separated during the night. The mattresses were covered by a plastic backed protective cover of a type you would expect on a hospital bed. We never figured out the shower with water temperature going from scalding hot to cold randomly, sometimes it was OK, we took our chances. The furniture in the room was old and in various states of disrepair, the bathroom cabinet cupboard door was held on by a piece of tape. There were no hooks at all in the bathroom room for hanging towels. Renovations were taking place in the apartment next door, so during the day two workman were noisily scrapping at the walls.

He was extremely friendly and met with us to go over everything.

The outstanding view from the balcony 🥰 it was a fairy tale! Location is perfect to the funivia to reach the beach and only 5 min by feet to the center of Taormina! It was amazing stay! This view will come to me in my dreams)

I spent 1 day without electricity) the manager offered me another apartment but in another city for this day, but I refused. It was uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not working adequately: a lot of water was coming out right on the kitchen and kitchen table. But I adapted not to use this much and enjoying the heat of Sicily :) I mean the view was amazing and you forget all disadvantages

The view

The only good thing about it is the view, the rest is a nightmare. It says there's a washing machine but when we arrived it was outside unplugged and "broken" we saw some over comments about the same situation but from weeks before we arrived, if it really was broken there was time to fix it! I think they just have it there so they can use that excuse and lure people like us in. When we asked about it they told us we have to go to a laundromat that was 2km away walking! We wasted 3 hours walking there, washing and drying our clothes. Also all the dishes and cutlery were very dirty, the curtain doesn't block out light so you wake up when the sunrises. The wifi stopped working on our 2nd day (we had 3 night) the notice that kept coming up was that needed to login and pay the bill.. so they didn't pay their bills. We asked MULTIPLE times about it and the reply was always the same "she will ask the manager" but was never fixed while we were there. After our stay I contacted booking due to the amount we paid for what we actually got and the hosts lied and said they offered us another house that had a working washing machine but we "denied" which is a huge lie, be careful if you book here you won't get a refund.

the view from the balcony was spectacular, the host was friendly and easy to get hold of. kitchen contained all of what we needed. Great location, short 2/3 minute walk from bus station to apartment, and 5 minutes walk to the town. cable cars where fun down to monte isola, but I’d recommend getting the bus to Leto Janni beach, 2 sunbeds and umbrella only 15 euro.

the washing machine wasn’t connected so couldn’t use, although I didn’t message the host to tell her, also maybe could have done with some clean towels Half way through our stay of 7 nights, but again, I didn’t request this, I’m sure the host would have accommodated.
