Taormina Rainbow House

Appartamento in centro comodissimo, molto accogliente mi sono trovato benissimo ci ritornerei! Consigliato!

Very beautifully furnished and convenient apartment with an excellent location close to all main tourist attractions. Owner Luca was very kind and helped us with a lot of information about Taormina. I definitely recommend it.

Location was great, apartment was clean, kitchen was well appointed.

Bed was very uncomfortable and located in a mezzanine loft with a very low ceiling. Also bathroom and kitchen had low ceilings so if over 5' 9" feet do not rent. Actual beam on middle of shower! and had to hunch over.

No body wash

Everything was perfect, clean house, all amenities available, easy contact with the host, exactly in the city center, very pleasant stay, I recommend it and I will definitely come back on my next visit.

Location was great

The beds and pillows were the worst I’ve seen in Italy, I have lived in calabria for a while as a Canadian so I know they don’t have great beds in this country but this one was the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on

Location of the apartment was very good, we just needed to take a taxi to reach it with our heavy bags. You basically can’t go anywhere in Taormina without going up or downstairs and we just didn’t want to cope with that. Our host was very friendly and helpful although we only communicated through WhatsApp. This place had a really great hot shower which was appreciated. Went to the Greek theatre which was absolutely amazing and 1 million photos to take the scenery then caught the bus up to Castelmola. I suggest you make sure that you have booked your bus tickets early if you want to do this as the bus fill up. The bus ride is up a very steep zig zag hill and takes about 20 minutes or more to get there. The town itself is very cute and there are some amazing views down to Taormina. We took our hiking sticks and descended on the path of the Saracens down from the hilltop town which took us about 15 minutes. Would recommend to anyone who likes hiking and doesn’t mind 1 million stairs.

The apartment was on floor 2 1/2. There were 40 stairs in zig zag up to the apartment and they were very steep. We had to carry our bags all the way up as we only had contact with our host through WhatsApp. At night time it was very difficult to find the light switches on the stairs as they were not lit up so we had to use the torch on our phone to get up to our door and find the keyhole to get in. The room itself has everything that you need, but the double bed is on a mezzanine floor so another 10 stairs to wind up to get to the sleeping area. We weren’t prepared to carry our bags up there! This was also the hardest bed we have slept on in our entire holiday. The stairs creaked a lot when going up or down so we had to be very careful at night when using the kitchen or bathroom as this woke up my sister sleeping on the sofa bed in the main living area. As it’s location is good it would be fine if you were younger and didn’t mind all the stairs.
