Everthing was ok.

I liked everything exept not working elevator (ceilings are high, our appartment on the second flour = a lot of steps to climb, and guests needed elevator very much). Thanks to Booking.com we got some benefits as a bonus.

It was filthy. The bed linens and towels were with strange spots, so it was really uncomfortable to use them. While staying there, we realised that dust is covering everything: bed, air conditioner, tv in the kitchen. So definitely this apartment needs a proper cleaning before hosting tourists and please change bed linen and towels

- Uncomfortable bed, low and hard. I never saw such a bad pillows to be honest. they were flat and uncomfortable as well. For the first night we couldn’t fall asleep even. - The furniture looks old, especially the bed. - Air conditioner is really noisy. - You can hear everything what’s happening in the corridors and outside. - There was a picture of the terrace when I booked an apartment. However, there was only a tiny balcony. I guess that terrace is in common use, but it wasn’t clear from the description. - When I left and arrived to my country, I found a new message from the apartment administration saying that I have to pay extra sum of money (6 euro) as an environmental fee. I’m not happy about any extra money to pay if I already has pays for my booking via Booking.com

The spacious apartment is in the quiter part of the old town, appx in line with the Lower Barrakka Gardens, 15min walk from the bus terminal, easy to discover everything from here. Entering the main door and the keybox with the code was easy. I had one flat on the 3rd floor in a traditional building with that lovely wooden balcony, modern furnitures and a great view to the street. Be patient with the lift, It's Malta, it will get you up in it's own pace:-). The kitchen is well-equiped, there's an electric kettle, toaster, stove and oven. There were 2 pans and 1 pot. Maybe a musli bowl would also be nice but that is not a must. Again, be patient with the water, the pressure is low. Although the tap water is potable, it is very soft and didn't like the taste of it so the provided free coffee, tea and the bottle of water in the fridge was really a nice feature. The bathroom had a good size with hanging rails for the towels. There were 3 mirrors in the flat:-). The mattress was with spring but was good. Wi-fi, TV was working well, there were plenty of sockets. Luckily the kettle had a regular ending so there was a adapter available bc I left mine at home but it was easy to buy one later. The flat is clean. I was staying there in the 2nd half of December (sunny 18C) and no heating was needed though AC is available. However, the floor tiles are pretty cold so make sure you have a warm sock or a textile slipper (eg. from IKEA) with you if you go there during winter. Maybe it would be also nice to have blankets provided during the colder months for sitting on the couch in the evening. There's also a great view from the very top of the building.

There was nothing seriously wrong. The overall cleanliness is good, however there was a greasy patch left on the side table in the bedroom in which I nearly put some clothing. The bed had a faux white leather covering but it was pretty stained, needed a thorough scratch. Bed sheets were absolutely clean but some of them were already greyish which was very much noticable against the newer sheets or the white bed itself. The cleaning material used had a very strong and unplesant smell in the kitchen upon arrival, though after airing it was gone.

The apartment is very well located in the old town of Valetta which is very handy when exploring the city. The central bus stop is in walking distance. The apartment is light and spacious and well equipped. The apartment comes up with complementarity tea/coffee and a bottle of water which was very welcoming. The contact with the rental company was very friendly and they replied to messages straight away. A broken kettle was exchanged immediately.

The administrative part could be improved as I had to provide personal information like my email address a couple of times (with the booking itself, per email and then once again via the booking chat). This process could be optimised.
