Old Lodge Apartment 7 by Vallettastay

The location is ok.

There were COCKROACHES!!! The bathroom is small and has a really small sink. There was no actual shampoo. The chairs and the sofa were dirty. The apartment is on the 3rd (last) floor and the stairs are very steep and uneven.

Nice location, close to the center but far from the noise. Nice building. Easy to access with self check-in.

Terrible matress. It was broken and we could feel the springs in our body. After the first night, we asked to be moved to another room but they had nothing available. We spent another night there and then they moved us in a different place, right in the centre with live music goig on until 2am. The sink in the bathroom was extra small and the entire place could have been better cleaned.

Our stay was quite good overall. The area is quiet and central, but it is at the bottom of a hill and most things you want to get to are at the top. There is access to the roof terrace (where there are tables and chairs). The kitchen seemed fairly functional, thought we didn't use it a lot.

There is no lift to the 3rd floor, so be aware there's many steps (with uneven heights) and a hand rail only up to the first floor. We had a bit of a fiasco with staff trying to fix the TV so that we could have both free-to-air and Netflix, and weren't sure if the problem was fixed when we left. The bed is very creaky, though reasonably comfortable. There were a few annoying things in the bathroom that needed fixing, and we've advised the hosts. The photos are a lot nicer that the reality.

There was no hair dryer and not enough tissue paper provided.

This apartment on the north end of Valletta offers you all you need for a vacation stay. The kitchen is well-equipped and the host left us a little welcome treat. There is a nice booklet with information about the area. The apartment also has a nice shared rooftop as well as a Juliet balcony in the bedroom. Would definitely stay here again!

The bed was a bit firm for my liking but not bad.

The location is amazing, very close to a lot of cozy restaurants and interesting sites.

The apartment was very cold and humid (there are 3 AC units, but none of them are working). All our clothes have a moisty smell now. And there is no sound proofing. So you hear everything from the street in the bedroom. The bed is also the most squeeky bed we have ever slept in. Feels like a bed recovered from the great grandmother.
