Énormément de marches à monter et descendre pour accéder à l’appartement. Parties communes pas entretenues et photos non conformes au niveau de la terrasse que nous n’avions pas. Uniquement des fenêtres et un mur masque la vue mer.

The location of this apartment in amazing. The apartment is cute, it is a bit outdated, but I kind of like the vibes of an older looking house. The space was mostly clean, and they did provided towel change for longer stays. The Mazzaro bay is very cute and cozy. We didn’t even mind that much all the stairs, the proximity to the bus stop and the funicular taking you to Taormina center was also great! There are 2 restaurants around the corner from the apartment complex, so very easy to eat during the day, without going too far. View from the room is cute !

The outdated cute look of the apartment came with some technical issues let’s say. When using the airco in the bedroom there was always a strange smell, a bit like old people homes. So we always used just the one in the living room, because otherwise we would wake up during the night to a very weird smell. The kitchen is equipped, few plates, some cooking pans. My issue with it is that there was no cleaning detergent for dishes, not a sponge to wash the dishes, which I feel it’s such a shame, because no one wants to go to buy a set of 5 sponges during a 7 days stay. When it comes to cooking, I do understand that maybe providing oil or spices is that extra touch, but I find it disappointing that when you rent an apartment with kitchen they don’t provide the basics like SALT. The apartment is not very well noice proofed. Every morning we could hear the doors being slammed from the other 2 apartments around us. This is definitely also the fault of other guests, but still. It could probably be fixed with some extra door insulation. I love Mazzarò bay, personally I like it better than Isola Bella bay, but the public beach on both is quite small. We were hoping the apartment would provide an umbrella(like other apartments in Sicily did) so we could sit in the public beach. But they don’t. I think it’s a nice little touch to give guests that option, as a tip for the future. Lastly, we were never informed about the tourist tax( is not a problem that we have to pay it) but it’s a bit weird to only inform your guests 1 day before check out. At this point we’ve been in Sicily for almost 2 weeks, and most of the other accommodation we had, the tax was either included in the price of the property OR we were informed at the check in time about the extra tax to be paid. All in all, the apartment is ok, you definitely pay for the location mostly, which again is amazing, but the small details could make your stay even better, and add extra value to the overall experience.

Shower was very small, there is no balcony or terrace at all, it looks like there is from the photos which is deceptive.

Great location with staff, easy access to town and the beach

It was perfect, with a sea view, just above a beautiful and quiet bay, hiden from crowds. . Host was very polite and helpful. We will come back for shure. It is very close to the cable-car station to old city Taormina.

We liked the convenient location next to the beach. I suggest the property to provide a beach umbrella to the guests. It will be very convenient because the private companies ask around 80 euros for the day.

The location was right by the beach

There was no hot water at all and very little water pressure (just a trickle) for the entirety of my 6 night stay. I was told that this is because of a local fire, but other apartments were not affected, nor were other properties nearby. I was not able to shower, wash my clothes or wash dishes. The electricity often shorted out, leaving me with no aircon or lights. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the apartment was extremely loud as bathroom window opened into the hallway where people constantly slammed doors and had loud conversations. I left early, please stay somewhere else unless you want your holiday ruined like mine was.
