17 Britten Close - Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages

I liked receiving a phone call to say the property was available earlier in the day than expected.

I could not get any cold water out of the bathroom sink tap. It would have been nice if the fridge had been on when we arrived. The parking space was very narrow and had more than 2 cars been there it would have been impossible to park the car and then open the doors to get out.

Good location. Comfortable bed. Helpful host.

Needs a grab rail in the shower. Could do with a lick of paint.

The scruffy facade and peeling paint on the front door and cobweb strewn staircase next to it, interior was very tired and desperately needs a repaint ( yellowing doors and chipped paint again) - the Tv didn’t work for more than 10 mins at a time ( no, it wasn’t the weather !) and the main ceiling light went out after 30mins and wouldn’t come back on ( it did eventually - not sure how ) - the wardrobe door was broken and the shower panel very dirty along bottom edge. forgive my rant but I was so disappointed - if it had been my kids student accommodation I wouldn’t have been surprised - but the worse thing was it cost us £252 to stay a max of 18 hours - I expected Grade 1 for that. It wasn’t all bad - we went out for my husbands birthday dinner and that was fab !
