LA CASA SOTTO IL CASTELLO

The care taker came to the train station to pick me up, and together we walked to the apartment. Great!!!

I think the furniture is a bit too old fashioned. More modern, fresher looking furniture and interior would turn this place from ok/good to fantastic

Loads of space, very nice and helpful host, great to have TVs with Netflix, nice location with easy access to the train station

Not much outside light

Apartment was lovely and clean, large and with everything we needed. Host was helpful and pleasant

AC lacked power to cool the large rooms. But did the job. Was slightly noisy outside, but fine with ear plugs.

The apartment is a great value for the price. First of all, Marco, who met us with the keys is such a kind, patient man. He was helpful and offered great tips and we appreciated his assistance during check in and check out. The space was much larger than we expected and I liked how the bedrooms were far apart which increased privacy. The kitchen was a full kitchen and complimentary water was provided. The washing jacking in the kitchen was a plus so we could do laundry before we moved on with our travels. We appreciated the high ceilings, a fan and AC in the bedrooms, beds were comfy all rooms were decorated beautifully. Also, the location near the castle was perfect since there are also good restaurants right outside the apt as well a delightful gelato place. We had a car and we’re happy to enjoy free parking just a short distance away from the apartment. There is also another parking lot with a meter that cost just 1 euro for an hr where I parked just one time and appreciated it’s availability. I would definitely stay here again.

On Saturday morning the garbage truck came to collect the trash and they were quite noisy. Seemed they came more than once that morning so the commotion woke me up. Also, the shower is quite small but we made do.

Fabulous could only fault that the ac unit didn’t work

Old convent great property

This is such a great property. Huge rooms, cool decor. Close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. Nice linens - it even had great pillows which has been a first for us in Europe. Marco went over and above greeting and helping us. Even the restaurant he recommended was superb.

No lights in the stairway going up to the unit - or maybe we just didn’t know where to look

Marco is an exceptional host. He helped us park our car and carry our suitcases to his beautiful rental apartment, which was actually his grandparents at one time it is nicely furnished and located right at the main square, which proved to be very convenient but a bit noisy. I would recommend a stay at this lovely home.

Excellent location, close to restaurants and bars. The castle is very nearby and worth a visit. There is a pleasant walk to the lake but with an uphill climb on the way back. Bracciano is 30-40 minutes by car to Fiumancino airport so was a convenient spot for our friends needing to go to the airport the next day. Marco was a very helpful host, facilitating finding the nearby free parking and helping with our luggage.

The shower is rather small and could be a problem for some.
