Romana Square Apartment near Old Town - Ultracentral Location

Cool and comfortable location. Clean and spacious apartment. Good owner. We were after the train, he gave us the opportunity to settle down and rest earlier.

The location is 5/10 mins walking from the centre.

The building is really old, but that’s normal buildings in Romania old town. The apartment is clean and have basic facilities.

Firstly the apartment is easy to find and it is very clode to the city center and the old town. The keys were easy to find as the host gave as the instractions on how to get in the apartment. The apartment it self was like the pictures and even though there is only one bedroom it was big enough for us (we were 5 people). The host is very active and will help a lot if a problrm occurs. While we stayed the bathroom floated but the issue was dealt by the host in a matter of hours. Also bus stations and the metro are very close to the apartment.

The main problem that we had to deal with was the fact that the apartment wasn't the cleanest. There were bags from food under the bed , the toilet floors weren't cleaned but the rest of it was. Also the couch that becomes a bed isn't the most comfortable thing to sleep into and over all I wouldn't recomment sitting on it.

Me and two of my friends were on a trip in Bucharest and got our reservation cancelled by surprise. We contacted the owner of this place, and even though it was last minute he answered us on the spot. And within 20 minutes or so we were already in the place. The owner is very available on WhatsApp, and answered every single of our questions within couple of minutes. And he is really nice. The place is well equipped, and the big bed is comfortable. There is even laundry machine(which we didn’t use). The place is very good, close to the action, and there is fine view from the window. There’s room for two people to sleep on the bad, the rest sleeping on the sofas, so it’s perfect for 2-3 friends in vacation. And of course, really affordable!!

Everything from urine and broken glass at the entrance, non working elevators, building and apartment totally falling apart without any maintenance for decades. Shower had one door so everytime we took a bath, whole bathroom was flooded. Kitchen handles were all broken and sharp, everything was falling apart, old and broken. Worst apartment I saw in over 30 years travelling. It shouldn't even be for rent. Can't understand how this is in booking site/app. Trust me: stay away.
