The Barley Store at Walkmill Farm

We loved the location of the cottage, very handy to the village. Loved the decor, great shower and comfy bed. Very peaceful.

The apartment was so lovely, spacious, bright, very tastefully decorated and felt so homely including a wood burning stove. It was very well equipped with extra special touches such as fresh milk, eggs and flowers on arrival and coffee pods too! The property also had outdoor areas where you could eat or relax. Great place to stay in a peaceful area just 10 mins walk to Bushmills. We would definitely recommend.

We loved the property and would stay again. Only small issue was there is a river behind the property and only at night, I could hear the noise from the flow of the water. I’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice it, but if you have sensitive hearing then perhaps pack some earplugs and all will be grand.

On arrival, I was greeted by the host Simon who was most helpful. He had left the lights & heating on so the property was so toasty & warm, especially on a cold wintry evening.. The wood burner was set, should you wish to light it & the twinkly lights in the hall were a lovely cosy addition. The decor was modern & lovely throughout & the property had everything you would need & more - comfy bed, hot water, loads of towels, shower gel, coffee maker with pods, toaster, microwave etc.. Everything was clean & tidy. The location of the property is perfect, easy to find, close to all amenities, attractions & great for walking. Not forgetting Dennis the dog who just loved to greet you every morning & sneak a wee snooze on the rug lol! All in all a perfect stay.

Had to leave a day early as a storm was coming and sadly had to leave for safety reasons 😪

Super accommodation . Host excellent and a lot of personal.touches to make us welcome on arrival and in the house. Highly recommended.
