18 Steps - Seaside Cottage with breathtaking views

We had a wonderful experience staying in this beautiful holiday home. Arend and Anita are very kind, caring and responsive hosts and spare no effort to ensure a fantastic stay. The house is immaculately clean, has quality finishes and great beds. It is fitted with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. You will experience breathtaking views from here, being some of the most beautiful views we've had from holiday homes. You will hear and see the train passing by, feeling like stepping back in time for a moment. Magical! Truly a little piece of heaven - we enjoyed every moment of our stay.

There are quite a few stairs, with some steep and narrow ones, which will not be suitable for elderly guests or people with disabilities.

What an incredible place! We couldn't have wished for a better introduction to our South African adventure. Stayed here for 6 days and it was hard to leave. This place has everything - spectacular views, lovely hosts Arend and Anita, safe neighbourhood, beautiful decor, a lot of space, comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen, a beach and a tidal pool right in front, shopping for groceries available within a few minutes drive, a good restaurant (Dixies) right below and the charming Simon's Town with Boulder Beach also just a few minutes away. It also has a great location if you want to explore all areas of teh Cape - from Cape Town to Cape Peninsula without having to book multiple accomodations in different spots. We absolutely loved every minute of it - from the breathtaking sunrise moments to listnening to the crashing of the waves before going to sleep. Thank you Arend and Anita for a magical stay! (Note: Due to steps this cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility issues).

This was the very best holiday we've ever had! And that was entirely because of where we stayed. The cottage is truly immaculate. Super clean, super comfortable, super safe, and has absolutely everything you need. My family and I really enjoyed staying here, it felt like absolute luxury and is excellent value for money. The pictures don't do it justice,and that's saying a lot. The views are out of this world incredible! Had the best sleep with the sound of the ocean so nearby. We did not mind the steps at all. I have so much respect and admiration for the love and care that has gone into this cottage. Every little detail is perfection.👌 This was such a special treat for my family and one we'll enjoy at least once a year, God Willing 🙏 This is more than accomodation. We loved everything

The apartment is absolutely incredible! 😎 The views are amazing with the garden ground adding another level to the experience! Recommend taking binoculars in order to watch the bird life having its morning drink. Thanks very much to Arend and Anita for their hospitality and friendship!

The slopes up to the property are quite daunting at first sight but aren’t really a problem. Take care turning into Main Road as there’s a dip at the edge of the main drag , so enter slowly and at a bit of an angle.

Incredible Stay at 18 Steps Guest House! We recently had the pleasure of staying at the 18 Steps Guest House for two nights, and we couldnt be more thrilled with our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Arend, our wonderful host, who made us feel right at home. The guest house itself is an oasis of cleanliness and comfort. Every detail was meticulously attended to, which made our stay incredibly enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The views from the guest house are nothing short of breathtaking. Whether we were enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony with its beautiful view of False Bay, or winding down in the evening, the scenery was a constant reminder of the beauty surrounding us. This accommodation is a hidden gem. Arends hospitality was the cherry on top of our fantastic stay. He was attentive, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. It is clear that he genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to ensure their stay is memorable. 18 Steps is a fabulous destination. Made for couples or families, from your intial welcome by your hosts, to the warm friendly departure at the conclusion. The views location and ambience are beyond expectations and are nothing short of incredible. #Spectacular Will, I am sure, be back !!

Nothing to not like. Nothing at all !! With all properties with fabulous views, comes elevation, and elevation means steps. The clue is in the name of the property. Bring good footwear to be sure footed !

One of the best properties I have stayed in. Great position with stunning views overlooking the sea, superb interior, spotlessly clean and a wonderful host. I could not fault this amazing place, we loved every minute of our stay, close to Simonstown and Boulders, with excellent restaurant on doorstop.

Arend has been a wonderful host, extremely responsive and helpful. The apartment is very clean and well equipped and the view is in deed breathtaking. It’s ideally situated as it’s walking distance to a restaurant as well as a tidal pool, nice to swim in the ocean. We will definitely come back.

This place is utterly incredible - don't hesitate to make your booking! We couldn't have asked for better sea views or more hospitable hosts - Arend and Anita are absolute gems and so is Glencairn! The apartment is spotlessly clean thanks to Arend's amazing attention to detail and extremely comfortable (including the beds) with everything you could need for a perfect stay. Lovely bbq/braai space downstairs complete with dartboard in addition to the dining space in the flat. Nice little balcony off the kitchen with amazing sea views for sundowners. Ample parking on the road outside. Just a 5 min walk to the most gorgeous beach and tidal pool. Super surf cafe within walking distance as well as other nice restaurants and bars. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday spot and will definitely be returning. Thank you Arend and Anita!
