Immediately felt like a familiar home. Old fashioned meets new additional space. Simple but sufficient for my needs, and an ideal base to explore that part of the Cape coast. The train was a casual tour guide and moving viewing platform for all the memories of the area that I was chasing. The ever-changing Cape weather made every morning, afternoon, and evening a different view across the bay. If you are walking and not wary of stairs, there are a few different approaches to the beach and hillside surrounds for wonderful views. The beach always has room for you if you drive too, and the neighboring towns are minutes away. Fish Hoek is, in my opinion, the friendliest town on the peninsula.

My only regret is not bringing someone with and spending more time at Uitsig.

It is a gem, prime location. Wonderful owners. Very comfortable and safe.
