The Loft

The facilities were a super fit for my purpose of a cosy stay and place to relax after a busy long day at horse camp.

There were rather a lot of spiders and webs. Luckily Im not a serious arachnaphobe. A few more teabags would have been useful. Not a lover of coffee, by the last day that was all that was left in the caddies.

You need a car. The bedroom and shower room were excellent but access is by a very narrow steep staircase so anyone with mobility issues could not stay here. The small kitchen is downstairs with nowhere to sit so not much use. We would not carry hot food up into the bedroom, even a cup of tea is difficult and with nowhere to set downstairs also difficult. Sometimes parking was difficult. Would stay here again as we liked the Loft and the area.

The kitchen needs at least some kind of sitting arrangement. Access to bedroom and shower is not easy.

Nice room and size, good location as only 5 min drive from congleton and parking was easy too. Small kitchenette with all the essentials were there.

The mattress felt a bit worn and could feel and hear the springs when lying on it. A memory foam mattress topper would have made it more comfortable.

We had a note to ask us if we would strip the bed when we left and put in washing machine, I didn't pay to stay to do the housekeeping

Old pictures left at the top of the stairs. Mirror for getting ready was no where near plug sockets ( perhaps move the vanity unit over towards where the sockets are).

The people who own this room were very friendly and helpful. We arrived in a storm that had made a power cut across the whole area. The owner came out in the cold and rain to find and give us a number of lanterns and torches to use in the apartment. He was very welcoming and listened to my daughter excitedly tell him stories about going to lapland, whilst stood in the rain (thank you). The room and bed were comfortable and there was a microwave, toaster, fridge and plenty of crockeryand cutlery etc... the shower was easy to use and plenty of warm water. The location was a short drive out of town in a beautiful and quiet location, which we enjoyed. My daughter loved seeing the horse coming and going. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the local area and would definitely stay again.

Self contained, warm, clean, quiet, good bathroom and great quality bedding, perfect location for my journey. Secure parking and access to accomodation. Nice area to go for morning walks.

Hard to locate property in the dark, would have been good to have a larger table to work at, mattress too soft for me!
