Excellent for train enthusiasts - right by the tracks! Clean, modern, well equipped, good base to get to other attractions in the area (if you have a car). Hosts gave clear instructions. View of the lake from the complex’s beach is great. Shared laundry facilities, though not straightforward operate, were great.

The property is an apartment in a complex that feels a bit run-down, and is right on the train tracks. Be prepared to walk with your luggage and carry it upstairs, as the parking is a walk from the entrance, and there is no elevator. While the apartment is fairly well sound-proofed when windows are closed, trains may wake up light sleepers in the mornings and ran almost until midnight. These things are not highlighted in the property photos.

Location is excellent.

There is no microwave but a big oven. Travelling with kids without a microwave is a bit challenging. The sofa bed in the sitting room needs to be replaced. It squeaks with every single movement.

Roomy and had all the necessities we required for our stay, close to the bus stop for an easy commute to Interlaken

The apartment was nice and comfortable. Lots of space .

Hearing the loud train right outside the window every few minutes. It was easy to take a bus, but still not convenient if you had a few things planned in town and wished to stop at your room between.

The pros: Pictures of the rental were accurate - tastefully appointed and newly renovated. The unit itself was clean. Nice appliances (induction cooktop (required a YouTube tutorial to use), dishwasher, refrigerator (tiny freezer). The bedroom bed was comfortable. The property is on the (swimmable) lake, which was a nice bonus and there is a cute outdoor restaurant on property (we did not eat there though). Interlaken is just a 5 minute drive with Lauterbrunnen about 20 minutes and Grindelwald 35 minutes by car so it is a great, central location to explore the Jungfrau area. There is also a train stop just down the street, which we did not use. And the owners are great and responsive!

The cons: The train runs right in front of the unit, starting early in the morning and late evening. It was not so bad if you had the fan running to block the noice, but I can see how it would bother some people who are light sleepers. This unit was a little cramped for 4 adults and seems better suited for 2 people or a family with small children (for the sofa bed) as the sofa bed was really squeaky and not well suited for 2 full size adults. Also, the rest of the facilities are run down.

Dear Lukas and Filipa, My family enjoyed our stay at your apartment. It was super clean and equipped with all necessities. The apartment is quite spacious. Although the main building looks old and unmaintained, your apartment appears new and recently renovated with very good furniture. Thank you!

Dear Lukas and Filipa, Just a few minor improvements could make your apartment truly astonishing. The balcony or backyard area could use some maintenance, such as trimming the trees, to enhance the beautiful view of the lake. Additionally, it would be safer to replace the ceiling fan with a stand fan, given the short ceiling height. Thank you! Best regards, [
