The spiral staircase was a challenge but is part of what you get with an historic building.

L’emplacement dans la vieille ville est juste incroyable L’appartement est cosy , très confortable Tout est adapté pour un superbe séjour ( cuisine équipée , chauffage) La literie est excellente L’hôte est au petit soin et nous a indiqué toutes les informations nécessaire concernant le logement Je ne le mets pas en point négatif parce que j’ai trouvé cela atypique et j’ai bien aimé mais pour accéder au logement c’est un escalier étroit en colimaçon sur trois étages De cet appartement vous pouvez faire tout à pied

L’emplacement était parfait, idéal pour le week-end. La déco est pensé avec goût.

A lot of stairs! I was not expecting that, probably missed it in the description but was ok for us- it wouldn’t be for an old person

Beautiful apartment, central location, excellent amenities. On a quiet courtyard beside the Writers’ Museum. Absolutely charming and homey.

If you have a lot of luggage or large luggage, be aware that the apartment is up four floors of tight spiral stone stairs and there is no floor space at entrance to leave bags at so you can bring them up one at a time. You will also need to walk with your luggage up the back stairs from Bank St, or half a block over from Deacon Brodies or St. Giles Street, as the entrance is off a square that is accessed from Lawnmarket which is pedestrian only. Don’t let these things deter you from staying here, because it is a great place, but if you are prepared for these things you will enjoy your stay more.

Fantastic location. Great apartment, practical, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a nice stay.

The bed is quite small and the mattress dips in the middle, could really do with a new one!
