Communicating with the host was very easy. Finding and entering the house was very simple. The location was also good, as it's very easy to walk around Edinburgh. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. The interior design of the house was very nice. It was an accommodation that met all our needs.

The location for this apartment was really great. It was easily walkable to downtown and had numerous really good restaurants nearby. We appreciated the binder of information, including grocery store locations, restaurant recommendations and instructions for the stove in the kitchen. We appreciated the city map and other pamphlets that were in the apartment. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and we enjoyed being able to open the windows for fresh air and bird song. The building is old, but the space is very funky with quirky lighting, pictures and accessories.

The bed is VERY soft which created issues for our backs as we were there for 6 nights. The sofa is really the only place to sit in the living room, unless we used the straight-backed chairs for the living room table (which we did). More comfy seating would be appreciated as the leather couch is awkward to sit in - the backing pillows are misformed from use and we really couldn't sit up straight with them behind us.

We reported an unfunctioning oven the day after we arrived, and nothing was done about it. We has booked self catering as we wanted to cook for ourselves , but that was greatly curtailed. Also the apartment, though clean was very poorly furnished, very much more shabby than chic.

Grand premisis, comfy bed and great location. We had a pleasant stay and the place did the job!

It felt like it was missing its potential. Listing wasn't exactly like the listing and seemed like it's getting quite dated. Reading some previous reviews, we got what some people thought. Some easy fixes: bathroom tap pressure, toilet flushing didn't always work, sofa looked tired and was uncomfortable, lick of paint/ better finish would give it a lift, extra blankets would be nice, providing central heating instructions would've helped.

The location was good, the apartment was spacious and it was useful for us to have a full kitchen

We had read the reviews so had a good idea of what to expect from this apartment. The apartment has great potential but it seemed to us that the managing agent just doesn't care very much to address the issues raised in customer feedback, some of which would be very easy to do. It therefore had the feel of a student flat rather than a "luxurious" apartment. Issues include the heating not being on and there being no instructions, the markings on the oven and hob are completely missing, the electronic door code was difficult to use, the shower only held a constant temperature on the eco setting and it was a weak flow and awkward to use, the state of decoration was poor with, the bed had an ill-fitting foam topper, the CO2 alarm in the bedroom flashed a bright green light regularly which disturbed sleep. We would also have found it useful to have more mugs (there were only 2), more breakfast bowls (there was only 1) and washing up gloves because the water temperature was extremely hot.

Location was good.

The toilet was broken and did not flush. The flushing mechanism was completely broken off. The WiFi did not work, and the bathroom sink also did not work. We immediately contacted the host asking them to fix it, and they did not send anyone to fix the issues. We spoke with the cleaning lady on our way out, and she said she had reported the broken toilet the previous day, and the host did nothing to fix it.
