Die Übergabe lief problemlos, die Ansprechpersonen waren freundlich und haben uns auf Anfrage auch mehr Handtücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Lage in der Victoria Street ist sensationell, man ist sehr zentral, hat viele Aktivitäts- und Essensmöglichkeiten in Gehdistanz. Der Blick aus dem Apartment direkt auf die Strasse lädt zum entspannten Rausgucken ein. Die Wohnung ist mit fast allem eingerichtet, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt braucht. Ebenfalls positiv erwähnenswert: WLAN und TV-Geräte, welche bereits mit YouTube, Netflix, etc. eingerichtet sind und nur noch mit dem eigenen Account eingeloggt werden muss. Auch Bücher und ein Jenga-Spiel stehen zur Verfügung.

Die steile Treppe zur Wohnung ist nicht für jeden geeignet. Vermisst haben wir Schränke, wo wir unsere Kleider unterbringen konnten. Die vorhandenen Schränke waren bereits durch anderes Material belegt. Durch die zentrale Lage ist auf den Strassen auch immer was los und daher auch etwas laut. Auch von den Nachbarn nebenan und darüber ist praktisch jeder Schritt zu hören. Das Sofa als Schlafmöglichkeit ist okay und zweckmässig, aber nicht sehr bequem. Grösster Mangel ist jedoch die Sauberkeit. Bereits bei der Ankunft bemerkten wir einige staubige Stellen, die Griffe und teils auch das Geschirr in der Küche wirkten klebrig, und haben wir daher nur im Notfall benutzt. Schockiert waren wir jedoch, als wir in den Schubladen und unter den Möbeln Abfall vorheriger Mieter gefunden hatten, und dazu noch eine gebrauchte Unterhose. Das geht gar nicht.

This location is to die for. Can’t be beat. Staff met at Check in to go over logistics which was helpful. The view out the living room and kitchen hen window was so beautiful. Our teen daughter did her makeup in the window each morning :)

Several flights of stairs as it’s a walk up but not a problem at all.

Best location ever for Harry Potter fans, walking to Edinburgh castle and Royal Mile.

Beautiful apartment right in the middle of everything. No need to go out to eat when you’ve got the best view right in the kitchen! The street is a bit noisy at night, but that’s to be expected in such an iconic spot. The meet and greet was nice with excellent explanation of how to use all the facilities. Fabulous stay.

Great location and good amenities. Host was responsive at very early hours to assist.

A few pubs on the street so very loud on the weekend in the wee hours.

Fantastic location! We were met at the door and she explained the workings of the apartment (i.e. the switch for the shower is outside the bathroom) and the policies. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and easy communication via text. The bathroom is very small, but everything worked fine. They were also able to let us store luggage upon check-in/out as the apartment was being cleaned.

The bottom 2 flights of stairs did not have a working light, making it more challenging to maneuver the stairwell. The kitchen cabinets were a little sticky and there were clothes leftover from a prior guest in the bedroom drawer where the hair dryer was stored).

Everything was excellent.

We were up for the fringe festival and go every year. However, this year, the prices of all flats have at least doubled from a year ago and that’s the only issue we had. It’s not the fault of the owner, but the rising prices at the fringe for accommodation in Edinburgh in August.
