Scotland St - Stylish apartment in famous edinburgh's New Town

Great place , everything you need , close to bars and restaurants but in a very quite neighbourhood

Great location, clean, cozy, has everything that you need.

Unit was decorated nicely, was quite spacious and was stocked with all the kitchen items one would need plus extras such as teas and coffees.

The unit was further from the City Centre than what we expected The TV remote did not work and when I contacted the hosts I was told that the batteries probably needed to be replaced and since it was during a weekend they would not send anyone out but if we wanted to pick up batteries while we were out then they would reimburse us. This was not a very professional way to handle a guest need and we went without TV the full three days we were there and come Monday no one tried to contact us to bring us any batteries. We did not feel it was our responsibility to replace something that should have been supplied.

The location was fantastic, easy to reach the central areas even walking. Also easy to public transport, bus just around corner and light rail just a short walk away. The apartment was roomy. Had a combined washing machine/dryer. There are restaurants and pubs within easy walk.

While the food preparation facilities were well provided, the apartment really needs an exhaust fan/range hood over the stove. We cooked a steak, and the room filled with "smoke" and set off the smoke alarms!!!

it was a self catering apt I liked the shower which was easy to turn off and on The bed was comfortable It was good to have some complimentary tea and coffee available Generally well equipped utensils and kitchen ware

Better step by step information about using and opening the key box Better information about the heating and thermostat again step by step I had to ask a friend what to do. The Manuel didn’t help at all I didn’t know how to set it to default If you are by yourself and not used to a heating system like it was It does become stressful trying to work it out The addition of 2 soup spoons ( round shape ) would have been useful and some paper towel .

It was clean, stylish and in an excellent position.
