The location cannot be beat. The apartment is well supplied, plenty of space and privacy, and had comfortable beds

There can be some outdoor noise. There was actually drilling that started at 11pm and went to 3 am. Also there can be some loud drunk people outside. The apartment had blackout curtains which helped. But you may need ear plugs if the drilling persists.

The spaciousness, and its location. Lovely furniture, kitchen and bathroom

Sqeeky doors, door handle falling off. Doors slamming shut loudly. I'm a s/e cleaner, needs cleaning properly, areas of thick dust.

Location is fantastic. Absolutely loved the location. Near everything with lots of shops and cafes nearby. There is a cafe nero just downstairs. Very safe building with good reception. Very nice living and kitchen area. Good kitchen appliances. Very good shower. Living room was spacious and modern and very nice to spend time in. Someone met us to give us the key and they helped us with the luggage which was great.

Bedrooms were too small. There was no room to move around the bed. It overlooked another building not street view, which would have been nice. I was hoping flat 3 wouldn't have too many stairs, because we had a lot of luggage but there were 2 flights of stairs with no lift. We previously stayed in the same building, in flat 12, and that apartment was superb! Bigger bedrooms and overlooking the royal mile.

The location in the heart of the Royal Mile has to be one of the best in Edinburgh. We were able to walk to all of the major attractions in less than 15 minutes and did not have to use any type of transportation during our stay. Looking out the window from our 3rd floor vantage point at St. Giles Cathedral, City Chambers (which always seemed to be hosting a wedding), and the action along the Royal Mile was really cool. Our host, Sacha, was extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns, in addition to being kind, friendly, and courteous.

Because you are directly on the Royal Mile, it can be a bit loud. One night, two men were drunk and singing (quite loudly) at 2:00AM which woke us up as the windows were open. As other reviewers have mentioned, the 82-stairs up and down every day can be a bit much for those with disabilities or who are not in good physical condition. Both of these things were outside the control of the host, so just mentioning them here as an FYI.

Location is amazing! Communication is very fast. The staff is super friendly and patient.

Everything was fantastic

Exceptional central location with the views of St Gil's cathedral right in front of the apartment. Spacious and comfortable. Washing machine wasn't working but was replaced the same day we made a phone call. Very responsive management.

Excellent location and beautiful accommodation. What a great to stay in such a unique apartment!
