Location, space

Location was great. Apartment was quiet. Facilities were fantastic.

Entrance to property was a bit of an eye opener initially but soon got used to it.

Very lovely apartment. Well kept.

Parking was a nightmare. Had to find a parking garage which was difficult. No parking available on the street in front of the apartment. You must have a permit to park there. Garage was quite a distance away. Not as centrally located as we like.

A beautiful, light space with lovely garden views. The apartment was clean, tidy, quiet, modern, and well-equipped, with homely and thoughtful decor. The owners provided a helpful and detailed guest book with lots of great local recommendations, and their digital guide was easy to follow for checking in/out. We got into town a few hours early and although an early check-in was not possible, we were able to leave our luggage in the apartment which was a big help. Great location too - it's walking distance to town, but far away enough to have a peaceful and quiet stay by the park. We were able to walk easily into town to many Fringe festival venues, museums and cafes over the weekend. Ubers are an affordable option to get home too.

The door to the apartment is a little confusing to find and would be helpful to have it labelled with the flat number. At this price point, we were very surprised they only provided 2 toilet paper rolls for 4 days & don't provide top ups. The listing says toiletries are provided, but they only had very cheap brands of hand soap and body wash (no shampoo & conditioner), which was disappointing considering the high price of the apartment and the hypoallergenic listing. The bed was very squeaky. We would have liked a couple more towels each as the "wet bathroom" design made everything very wet, and we ended up having to use the washing machine to wash the towels during the stay. Overall these are minor issues but little touches make a difference especially considering the high price of the accommodation.

The first sight was a bit disconcerting as the tenements were reminiscent of a Dickensian novel, dark and forbidding. It would have helped if the flats were numbered. Whilst modern and clean, the flat was very compact with the smallest shower we have ever encountered.

One thing to beware of is that there is no free parking. It's all permit parking during the day and at night finding a park within walking distance was problematic.

Well-decorated, very quiet area, high ceilings and clean.

It is not as near as one might expect to the city centre, but transport links are good (frequent and easy to work out). Flat entrance could have a number to help identifying it.

Great location for Old Town. Easy to walk into City Centre.
