West Bow Apartment

The communication with the host was excellent. Our family enjoyed the apt very much. The apt was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well equipped with glasses, mugs, plates, cooking utensils, pots & pans. We hand-washed the few dishes we used, but there’s a dishwasher as well as a washer/dryer. The beds were comfortable. Our family thought the location was great - plenty of shopping & restaurants in the area.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the apt. For those with mobility issues, this isn’t for you - there is a spiral staircase up to the 3rd floor apt which could be problematic with heavy luggage.

Location is excellent. Kitchen is also well stocked and appliances are great. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Really quiet at nighttime as the walls are super think and windows face into the courtyard.

Carpets are a bit tired in the hall and the first impression (after the winding stone staircase) is a bit disappointing BUT it’s quiet, clean and in a great location so just be prepared for that. It sounds weird but the floor of the bedrooms is on quite an angle because the property is so old so your feet are above your head as the beds are set up! (We slept the other way round!!)

The Location is perfect with plenty of pubs and cafes right in the centre of Grassmarket. The Kitchen facilities also with all the little things like oil t.bags Coffee sugar, they were nice extras

The 3 flights of stairs, but only because we had taken my 83yr old Mum, but that was our mistake for not checking

The apartment was clean and spacious and very quiet at night, it had everything you needed including washer/dryer, dishwasher and hairdryer. It was close walking distance to everything and had lots of restaurants and bars nearby yippee.

The key safe was hard to open and fifty one steps to and from apartment which was on third floor, ok for us but elderly or disabled may find it difficult.

The location is great, the kitchen is functional and the apartment overall was spacious and clean. The beds were fairly comfortable. When everything was working properly, it was a great place to stay.

We had a few hiccups - internet line was out when we arrived and modem had to be replaced, breaker to the kitchen was out when we arrived and had to find the box to get the fridge back on to cool the food we had already bought, and then the kitchen breaker tripped almost a dozen times the night before we were leaving (finally stayed on before we went to bed)
