Old Town Centre Apartment 5 mins to Edinburgh Castle

Location was fab, super close to Grassmarket and Royal Mile. Host responsive to emails.

Very busy clubs behind apartment were loud at night time. Although there is a key safe a 2nd set of keys would have been helpful.

Overall, I found the property to be quite appealing. The bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the presence of a separate toilet and washroom added to the convenience. These features were definitely a highlight of the place. Additionally, the property was spacious, making it an excellent choice for a group of friends. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, socialise, and enjoy their time together. Whether you’re looking to have a lively party or just a fun gathering, this space offers the right atmosphere for a memorable experience. The kitchen was excellent, filled with various items, so kudos to the host for making it the most valuable and amazing part of the property.

I understand that things can get hectic, but I feel that the accommodation has some issues that need addressing. They have one room and another room with two separate beds, which can only accommodate four people. At a rate of GBP 20 per person, I believe that seems a bit excessive. They could deduct some money from the deposit they collect. Additionally, the lock pad is slightly broken or old, as it doesn’t open quickly. The main gate we used to enter is also quite old; the keys don't work properly with it. While the rooms themselves are decent, the chairs in one room were dirty, with hair strands and some dirt on them. A little more attention to cleanliness would be appreciated, especially in the corners where there was noticeable dirt that hadn’t been cleaned. On a positive note, the host did an excellent job in the kitchen by providing a lot of handy items, such as a kettle and coffee mugs, which were a nice bonus. However, the overall cleanliness could be improved, as it was not very hygienic. This definitely needs to be addressed.

The apartment needs significant refurbishment, the building is dated. I haven't received my safe deposit money back despite multiple reminders and mails.

The apartment was clean and well equipped

The entrance to the apartment is very dismal and depressing. It is in a very noisy location with outside noise going on until 4 am .Also, I had to wait 3 weeks for my damage deposit to be refunded even though we had left everything emaculate. Booking. Com actually paid the money back to me and said they would deal with it on my behalf.
