Candlemaker Old Town 500m from Edinburgh Castle

Location fantastic, utilities great, design very quaint but to our liking

Wifi was poor, very spotty and the shower had extremely weak pressure. Friday and weekends were loud until the early hours but not much the property can do about that.

Perfect location to access every site we wanted to see. We walked everywhere and we are both over 68. It was a perfect place for the week we stayed to go on day trips oustide of the city. Lots of restaurants, pubs, stores, etc., in the area. Seems like a great neighbourhood. Everyone we met was very friendly.

We liked everything about the whole place and the neighbourhood. the only thing we would have liked would be to have instruction manuals for he oven and washer. Being from Canada the washer dryer combination is not as familiar as I would like.

El apartamento está totalmente equipado y en un lugar perfecto (cerca de la Royal Mile y de todos los puntos turísticos de interés); ideal para primeras visitas a la ciudad.

Aunque a nosotros no nos importó, informar que está pegado al cementerio Greyfriar (punto de interés turístico también) y que la ventana de la cocina da directamente a él.

Amazing location as advertised, with Greyfriars right outside the kitchen window. Cozy decor & I especially appreciated being able to make my own espresso! I was there for the Fringe Festival and felt like I was in the heart of it without major crowds or bars right outside.

Only one business on the street is open late and it has a noisy clientele, but it didn't affect my sleep. I actually liked having something open when I arrived home late. Some might want to know there's a step into the tub/shower.

Poor shower, cold and dark inside, huge deposit refundable a few days after stay, additional fee for check-in after 7 pm
