You can't beat the location if you are looking to explore Old Town.

There is a lot of nighttime street noise so if you are a light sleeper don't pick this place.

"Awesome location, great apartment."

Location was excellent- just off busy grass market and close to royal mile. Kitchen window has a view directly to Greyfriars kirkyard, with a headstone about a metre away. Well equipped kitchen and comfy lounges with tv and books. Good size bath tub. Staff were very helpful and nice. Hot water for bath was very inconsistent and kept going to cold. Texted the staff and a friendly tech was there within 5 minutes. Turned out boiler needed a jiggle but mostly the boiler couldn’t handle if water was turned on full blast- you just need to run it on part way and have a bit more patience and then it is steaming hot. Also make sure the hot water switch is turned on when you arrive and remains on (outside bathroom door).

Check in and front door isn’t as bad as others have made out to be. Have to give staff an eta a few days before then ring when an hour out as they come to meet you. 1st Door has a code, but it’s not difficult. There’s nothing not to like about this property.

Amazing place in the spirit of Edinburgh city. Lovely and cosy flat with all things you would need when you are there. Just In a heart of city Centre. Close to grassmarket , National museum and a great jazz bar. Walking distance from Arthurs seat. No better place to stay in Edinburgh

It is rather not for 4 ppl as the sofa bed is not very good for 2 ppl. It would be convenient to have an extra metrace as IT is quite narrow and not very comfortable for 2 ppl. Our son slept on unfolded small sofa as IT wasnt comfy enough to share sofa bed. I would not rocommend for 4 ppl unless IT is for fam 2 plus 2 small kids. Apart from that all was great. Also the kebab's house guests from opisie were very loud and noisy at night so it disturbed a sleep but after 3am it was ok
