Beachview Apartment

Fabulous location, brilliant views directly onto the promenade and beach, lovely airy, spacious and comfortable apartment, easily accessible with a wheelchair via the lift, easy to collect keys on arrival, wonderfully helpful and responsive host answering questions beforehand and clear instructions in the apartment too.

There's nothing we didn't like, it was a brilliant apartment and perfect for our needs. If there were small improvements then a better system for enabling seeing the TV/projector in daylight that didn't mean making the whole room dark to view it on the wall (or perhaps we just didn't work that out). A handrail in the shower and one on the the wall by the loo would help future occupants with a similar disability to ours.

Beautiful views and lots of space

The location - wow! Easy access to the beach and between all the major coastline attractions (arcades, playgrounds, takeaways, cafes) The stunning view is from the living room and both bedrooms. The kitchen is also very well equipped and even some beach toys provided for the children.

The property was comfortable and homely. A really spacious apartment with all the mod cons and everything you would require, for a home away from home.

Location and on the sea front. Great view. There was an issue with the heating - owner very quick to respond and sort the issue out.

Beds extremely uncomfortable. Thin layer of sand/dirt on floors. A simple tv is sufficient. The unit has a big projector type tv - very difficult to see - lights must be off to have a clear picture.

When the description says Beachfront Seaview, and it really is that, why on earth do would one want to stay elsewhere in Portobello or even Edinburgh City? Easy cheap bus rides or car drive into Edinburgh, from your own parking space. Spacious, modern, well-equipped, quiet large flat, over the excellent Beachview restaurant and next to ''Espy's" (The Esplanade) restaurant amongst others. Perfect location for prom and beach walks with our two beach-loving poodles. Just don't tell everyone...

Not an apartment-related observation, that the beach/prom lacks the continental-style water-stations to de-sand your wellies & dogs; we use a car-portable Karcher, invaluable bit of kit. The otherwise excellent Sky/audio/projection system might baffle anyone unfamiliar with it at first sight, but persist!

Amazing apartment with stunning view.

Nice Appartement on the nice Beach of Portobelle. Spacious Living Room and two Sleeping Rooms. A nice Bathroom with shower and bathtub. The kitchen was well equipped. Many shopping possibilities nearby, such as Co-Op, Sainsbury´s and some Cafes and Bakeries. Public Traffic 5min away. One private parking spot directly on the Appartement. Was really nice there.

Some minor repairs should be done, but nothing, what affect the stay negatively.
