JOIVY Modern 1 bed Flat in West End, close to Princes Gardens

Amazing property, location perfect, absolute gem.

Really convenient access to/from West End tram from the airport, ground level access, very comfy quiet flat and very tidy, ease of walking to the convention centre, great little pub nearby to sit and relax whilst waiting for check-in, very responsive host

As no air-con, ideally a fan for those unusually warm Edinburgh days and nights, more detailed instructions on where to put rubbish/recycling at end of stay. It should be noted that entry is by remote unlocking so make certain your phone is well charged with mobile internet connection on arrival (I am on Vodafone and was fine) , you have to be quick to open the door after you hear the first click, otherwise there is a very quick second click which relocks the door- it would be helpful to have the unlock option in the passkey/wallet on mob for ease of accessing when you return to the flat otherwise delays in scrolling through the check-in instructions before you can enter.

The apartment is big and airy and is well equipped It is located close to public transport

The mechanism used to open the door is clumsy and could be problematic if your phone is flat No personal contact at all with the host

While we did not have breakfast, the location was brilliant. Close to Princes Street and everything was within armslength of desire.

Cannot really complain....we were abosolutely satisfied witth the services and the support staff were incredibly supportive.

Super clean, good facilities, close to the tram stop, walking distance to the train station, host was approachable by phone to guide when there’s a technical difficulty.

Would be better to add a drying rack for the plates and a wipe towel for cleaning the kitchen surface. We spilled something while cooking and we had to use toilet paper. I just felt bad to waste the paper.

The location is good and the apartment is spacious. The bathroom and the shower was quite nice.

Too ungenerous towards the guests. The check-in is completely contactless (which is not a bad thing) but that also means that they can’t keep your luggage at all. The rules also say that you need to do all the dishes and take out the trash. When I came back from throwing out the trash, they deactivated my key even though it was before the check-out time. Given that the apt is not cheap, those things add up to being disappointing.

Fantastic. Very well positioned. No contact check-in.

The apartment was great, the only thing missing was some kitchen towel.
