Lalapanzi

This is our go-to accommodation when visiting False Bay. We’ve stayed at Lalapanzi three times and it never disappoints. Stunning views, beautiful accommodation with all the amenities you could need. Will definitely stay here again.

The view, best hospitality

The view over the bay is outstanding and can be enjoyed from the main bedroom. The flat has everything you need for a short stay. For anyone planning a trip to Boulders to see the penguins this is a great place to stay. It is a good option for families, especially as the third bedroom has bunk beds. There is a little lift that can carry luggage up the steep hill.

The bathroom door doesn't offer complete privacy because the sliding door doesn't close as well as it could. Getting out of the parking bay was initially a bit daunting, but once the trick to making a safe exit was explained it was fine.

What I liked about the place: The host - Wayne is a conversationalist and superb host. He met us when we checked in, transported our luggage up the stairs with the funicular, showed us around the place and really made us feel welcome. Even had someone help with our luggage when we left. We had an issue with the gate due to load shedding one night at almost midnight. Despite the host having had to deal with bereavement, he came to our aid withing 15min. The location - What a view! You can see the entire False Bay unobstructed and glorious sunrises from the bed, lounge bean bags and balcony. The location worked perfect for us since we wanted to explore the cape peninsula Facilities - besides bringing our own food, this apartment had everything we needed, even cooking oil. The fireplace and heating ACs provided much comfort since we came in the heart of winter.

We new about the stairs and parking from the comments. As for the stairs, at 60 and 120kg, I was fine with it and the funicular is a great asset. My workaround for the parking was to reverse park with my son on watch. I think a convex mirror might help a great deal. I'm glad I did not let these 2 issues deter me from staying at Lalapanzi as it was worth every penny.

Clean and has all you need

The road was a total nightmare. I definitely wouldn't have booked if I knew that the parking was where it was.

Everything! Beautiful location, beautiful space, small touchs.. just wonderful, home away from home

Drive way is a bit tricky but then it's apart of being on the mountain edge.. so worth it.
