Overall, the apartment itself was lovely- clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We truly enjoyed the space and the host was exceptionally kind, responsive, and communicative throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our positive experience with the host and accommodations was overshadowed by a very frightening incident with the downstairs neighbor in the building, which is the ONLY reason for the lower rating. At 5:30pm, while our children were watching and laughing at cartoons (at a reasonable volume), the downstairs neighbor began banging on the ceiling repeatedly with a broom or stick. We have a toddler so perhaps his scurried footsteps to get a snack from the table seemed loud? He weighs less than 30 pounds and wasn’t wearing shoes so I can say confidently that the noise level was normal or even quieter than normal, for a family with small kids. A short time later, while I stepped out to get dinner, the female from downstairs came up and began ringing our doorbell repeatedly. My husband opened the door to speak with her- she immediately began yelling at him and demanding that we be quiet. He calmly explained that we were trying to keep things quiet, and gestured to our youngest explaining that he is a toddler, but we are doing our best. He then closed the door. At that point, she rang the bell again and continued shouting, so my husband opened the door again and the woman threatened to call the police. My husband said that it was fine for her to call as we weren’t doing anything wrong, as anyone could see. He then closed the door to disengage, as her antics were beginning to scare our kids. She then began kicking the door repeatedly — around six times — trying to force it open. I REPEAT- SHE TRIED TO KICK THE DOOR DOWN WITH OUR YOUNG CHILDREN RIGHT THERE. My husband chose not to answer the door again, and eventually she left.

Neighbours down, there is no parking near the property. 300-500m walking distance with all your luggage.
