Living History (adults only)

Living history was one of the most fascinating, incredible places we've stayed in. Not only is Hallstatt a magical little town, our accomodation had incredible history, beautiful artefacts and an atmosphere steeped in the centuries gone by. You could almost imagine the many generations of people who lived and worked within these rooms - if only the walls could talk.

I think it was the time of year, but there were almost no restaurants or coffee shops open for breakfast before 10am, or for dinner after 5pm. Because we couldn't self cater and we weren't prepared, it was a little tricky - but it was only a few days, so we had early dinners. But visitors should be aware of this.

Unusual Property with great surroundings- stayed here for something different to do. Very quirky and beautiful.

Couldn’t use the balcony. Doors were weird to use. Would have loved to go downstairs too..

Absolutely stunning. A rare accomodation that provides an incredible feeling when staying. Like going back in time. Perfect location.

Das Rauschen des Bachs nebenan ist wie eine laute Klimaanlage. Uns hat es trotzdem kaum gestört.

A very unique place to stay.

This was the coolest place I’ve ever slept! The history was enchanting, the location was fantastic, the host (Lea) was so helpful! The whole stay was a dream!!

The layout of the deluxe apartment was so well thought out and preserved and highlighted the history of this ancient structure. It was located steps from the beautiful main square. There was nothing not to like!
