Hollywood Beachfront House

The location was wonderful! Literally a 30 second walk to the beach. I appreciated the foot wash station outside of the property for removing sand. I will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

The mattress was slightly uncomfortable and the shower took a while to drain, but those didn’t stop us from fully enjoying the place.

The apartment was completely uncleaned when we arrived, with dirty sheets and blankets strewn across the beds and dirty towels in the bathroom sink. The fridge had not been emptied, and to top it off the A/C unit was dirty (the insides were black) and very loud.

The apartment itself is genuinely nice – it's spacious, seemed well-equipped generally, and represents good value for money. The absolute best feature is its exceptional location, next to Hollywood Beach and is also convenient for exploring Miami - 30 to 60 minute commute.

Unfortunately, the positive aspects were completely overshadowed by a serious and unacceptable cockroach infestation during our 5-night stay. We encountered a total of five cockroaches inside the apartment. The first was found in the bathroom sink area near our cosmetics. Later, another one actually crawled on my girlfriend's leg while we were having dinner in the apartment. We found others over the following days. We also heard sounds suggesting other potential "guests" (possibly a lizard) in the living room area. We also were diligent about keeping both the doors and windows securely closed throughout our stay. We understand that pests can be an issue in warm climates, but finding this many inside a rental is not acceptable. What made the situation significantly worse was the complete lack of communication from the host. We reported the initial cockroach sighting immediately via the Booking.com messaging system, providing details and evidence. The host never once responded to our messages during the remainder of our stay. This silence was unprofessional and unhelpful, leaving us to deal with the escalating situation alone. Due to the host's silence, we had no choice but to escalate the matter to Booking.com customer service. After reviewing our evidence, Booking.com acknowledged the issues. While we greatly appreciate Booking.com stepping in, this whole experience significantly impacted the comfort and hygiene of our stay. This apartment has great potential due to its physical attributes and location. However, the significant pest control problem combined with a host who is completely unresponsive when serious issues arise, makes it impossible for us to recommend staying here. Until these critical issues (both pests and communication) are demonstrably fixed, future guests risk a similar stressful and unpleasant experience.

The location was excellent.

The two burner cooktop didnt work well, one burner ok, the oter one very liitle heat. The telephone did not work at all. We didnt want to use our cell phones as our Canadian provider charges a lot for calls in the US.

Quiet, close to the beach and other attractions. Room had everything we needed. Felt safe, even late at night. Bed was very comfortable. Easy check in and out.

There was a lot beach chairs were broken and pile up on side of the building One in our room was broken also Just need some new ones and dispose of the broken ones In court yard lounge chair was totally broken. The other court yard furniture was nice and comfortable

Hi We did enjoy our stay. I have NOTHING negative to say, we got the right Value for the money spent. We are well travelled thus are able to Compare accomodations. Everything met our expectations, from bed comfort, quiet unit at night and all day, patio accessibility, many sitting areas for all 4 units, shower towels TV choice of channels kitchen equipment and Friendly Housekeeping. What WE enjoyed even more are the Beach CHAIRS and equipment since we FLEW to Florida. will recommand you and Pick you should we come back to Hollywood witch is quite probable. Dominique from Canada
