Waldhaus Igls

Our stay at Waldhaus was incredible! Our room was beautiful and spacious and the location of the property was the best of all worlds! You are settled back in a quiet spot, but you are 5 mins walking to a restaurant, cafes, and the bus stop. 10 mins walking to the grocery store. The bus comes every 10 mins and takes you into the heart of Innsbruck within about 15 mins. You can do all the outdoor activities AND all the city fun in Innsbruck (which is incredible!) We rented a van, but you truly do not need a car. Our kids LOVED this property - especially the rock wall, ping pong table, pool, and play structure in the back of the property. We had our in-laws with us for a few nights and it was still comfortable and spacious with 6 of us in the 2 room unit!

The ONLY (and I mean only) thing I would have liked was a few more towels and extra pillows. And the beds were a bit stiff. But truly, that is it! Everything else was phenomenal. The hosts are so kind, responsive, and thoughtful!

Everything, from the host Andrea to the property, facilities, location and garden. It was indeed the best stay experience in Austria by miles. The forest just behind the property was an exceptional experience. Just a 15-minute drive from Innsbruck with an astounding location in the small quaint town of Igls made this must-stay property.

The location was practical - a direct, regular 20mn bus from the city centre. Table tennis available downstairs.

The pictures here are INCREDIBLY deceitful. I understand it is always normal to take exceptional photographs that show the property in its best possible light, but this was straight up absurd. We expected (and paid for) what looked to be an actual apartment; in fact, it was very small, not clean, with no discernable living area, no practically usable television - and a shared balcony with no partitions between apartments. The bathroom was dirty (per the pictures). We booked a 'quiet' apartment and were therefore apparently deluded in expecting not to be woken up around 6am every day. We got home around 11:30pm one single night and the owner felt the need to come tell us we needed to 'be quiet or you have to go'. We ensured silence after that but it apparently merited another visit the following day, to reiterate that if we weren't quiet 'you have to go'. We apologised profusely after the single incident - about which it was emphasised it was, verbatim, 'ALMOST MIDNIGHT ON A SATURDAY NIGHT'. We are unsure that Andrea is aware of the term 'hospitality'. What a shame because whom we assume to be her husband and daughter were perfectly lovely. We also assume that Andrea will find plenty of reasons to put the blame on us; what a shame. The location is good and it is a fine place to stay so long as you keep your expectations in check. It is a family rental, which we do wish would have been made clear. Don't bother unless you have young children. It is most definitely not a nice place to stay as a couple or friends who wish to be out later than 8pm. We would have been happy for half the price.

We had a wonderful stay at Waldhaus Igls. Claudia and the team were really friendly, attentive and helpful. The apartment was spacious, and we had direct access to the beautiful garden. It's really nice that you can order all kinds of rolls and bread to be delivered to your door.

Great apartment with outdoor space. Indoor pool, IR booth and Sauna a bonus. Local restaurants good.

No toaster but can order fresh pastries each morning.
