4 Seasons Guesthouse

Fantastic stay - the property was lovely, with beautiful gardens and clean rooms. We were also taken great care of by Bodhi, who was so lovely and helpful and took us snorkelling by the beach nearby and have some helpful local advice.

This place was amazing! Hikkaduwa was my favourite spot in Sri Lanka. I booked the apartment as I wanted a fridge to store some water and fruits ( if you have travelled around in Sri Lanka you will know most places do not offer fridges). The owners are lovely and I understand why everyone gave them such a high rating! The place is in a great location - just 2-3 min away from the turtle beach and close to the Main Street with the restaurants. The property has high ceilings and I love such places as you feel there is so much space in it. The bed was comfy and I had AC in my room! The kitchen had from french press to even a blender so essentially all you may need for your stay. There is hot water in the shower and a line to put your wet clothes on the balcony to dry. The room also had a lovely chair which was great if you want to just hold lay in it and rest..and read a book. I can even myself purchasing such chair one day in the future. The garden in this place is amazing! On my first day I got to see some monkeys, and also saw some frogs and owls. The hosts were very kind to me. They offered me cold drink when I arrived and on other occasions that I saw them. The owner also does take guests snorkelling, weather permitting, which was so kind of him! They even drove me to the train station when I was leaving! I hope to be back one day again!

Everything was amazing! The hosts are such a lovely well mannered and welcoming family. It is such a joy to stay in their guesthouse in the most beautiful garden in the middle of Hikkaduwa. We were welcomed by their son, Bodhi. What a delight, he is so calm and sensible. As we already read in the comments he offers to do a completely free of charge snorkel tour with the guests! It was amazing. We went for a sunset snorkel and he brought us to see a green sea turtle and a hawksbill(!). The next morning we went in a calmer ocean and he showed us all the colourful fishes. I can’t thank Bodhi and his family enough for a gorgeous time in Hikkaduwa.

Bodhi and his family are amazing hosts! The garden is beautiful and overall such a pretty guesthouse. Relaxing in hammock and watching the beautiful garden is so much fun. Bodhi also takes you snorkeling and he really knows his way around! Believe him if he tells you that it’s suitable for all ages. Highly recommended! Thanks for the stay! :)

Great big room with comfortable bed and nice clean bathroom. We had a great time with Bohdi and his family over 3 nights here, he took us snorkelling a couple of times and we saw a heap of turtles and he even dropped us to the doctor and also the train station when we were leaving. There was always a smile on his face and a fresh cold juice on the really hot days. We also had access to a basic kitchen for boiled water or to store something in a fridge.

I had great time in 4 seasons. I felt like part of their family. Very helpful and lovely people. The place was lovely, with beautiful garden and very short walk to the beach. They even took me for free snorkelling to one of the best spot.

Warm and charming greeting from Bohdie and his mum. The place is a gem, set amongst a beautiful garden. It is peaceful and serene offering a place to chill and relax. The hammock outside the room is a neat touch giving you an opportunity to drift away as you swing back and forth.

The 4 Seasons Guest house is unique offering you an opportunity to experience warm Sri Lankan welcome from a very special family. The only thing I would say is that it is poorly lit in the lane as you approach the property on an evening

Four Seasons guesthouse is the quintessence of Sri Lanka: warm hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty. The owners treated us like relatives. The owner’s son, Bodhi, took us for free snorkeling and showed us the best places for watching fishes and corals. Within a 5-minute walk, there are two beaches. On the first beach, you can watch huge turtles. Additionally, little hatching turtles are released into the ocean every day at 6 pm. The second beach is amazing for snorkeling, where you can observe octopuses, tridacnas, moray eels, reef sharks, and a variety of fish species near the shore. The room may appear ascetic, but it is very comfortable, super clean, and tidy. We had hot water, a kettle, a fridge, and even a fumigator in the room. The bed was very comfortable. There is a great garden around the rooms where banana trees, cinnamon, black pepper, pineapples, coconuts, and orchids grow. Additionally, you can spot a lot of birds, lizards, and butterflies here. Our stay coincided with the Sinhalese New Year, and we were treated to traditional cakes. We truly appreciate this attitude. I highly recommend Four Seasons Guesthouse!

Well, I have been coming here since 1980 and forsure I will back for more ;-) Its what you can call a holiday home !! These people are just super ;-)

Since the garden is very lush and green, its also "popular" by the mosquito community but with right steps and protection is not a big deal.
