The Old Jail Apartment, Inveraray

A beautifully furnished base for visiting the area. Everything that we needed was provided. The TV is a smart TV, the WiFi worked well. We were able to park in Church Square. An historic and interesting place to stay.hi

Quirkiness of apartment. History, Location, Comfort

Good town centre location with easy access to shops and restaurants. Lovely walks accessible straight from the door. We stayed two nights and never used our car. Co-op is only a short walk away. The castle is beautiful.

Cleaning needs improvement. The fridge door handle was full of dust and crumbs which I cleaned up myself, worktop under the toaster covered in crumbs, grubby fingerprints on some walls next to light switches. Blood stain on the duvet. Black mould on some window frames and in small patches on some ceilings. Overall the property was dark and gloomy. I usually enjoy an unusual or quirky property but sadly I wasn't at all comfortable here. It has an oppressive atmosphere.

The apartment has a lot of history which made this an interesting stay. It also has everything you need to be self contained.

The stairs leading to the apartment would be challenging if you had mobility issues. They are very worn and uneven.

Great location. Fully equipped kitchen so I was able to self cater most of the time Very quiet location. Good TV provision. And efficient washing machine

The location was great for the town. The shower was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole apartment was very clean. Overall we would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

Lighting was too dim. Overhead lights would be good or some brighter lights in the lounge and bedroom. The sofa in the lounge was a little low and soft for us.
