Bretts Rest AZA

Fantastic quite location tucked away from busy road. Beautiful spot for a couple to stay. Chase the dog was super friendly and greeted us every morning make our stay feel homly. Overall a good place to stay.

The bed and pillows were quite soft for our liking.

We like the location that is quite peaceful and very comfortable, we got everything that we needed to have a lovely stay and Brett was always very nice and willing to help us in anything too. Kangaroo Island is a beautiful place, the accommodation is very close to kingscote town so was easy to go to do shopping, get fuel, go to the beach and go to restaurants. At night we could see the stars, and the milkyway in the sky that was so stunning.

Brett was fantastic to deal with before and during our stay. Comfortable cabin to stay in with plenty of space to move inside. Definitely recommend to couples or even families. Resident Dog Chase is a friendly dog who liked to visit and play fetch with you.

Nothing not to like

Excellent accommodation. Very comfortable bed (and couch!). Great size kitchen and bathroom, all you need for a short stay. In an excellent location, easy to get to cafes/restaurants in Kingscote and also to all the beautiful places around Kangaroo Island. Brett was a great host and gave great directions to find the location.

The cabin was a country homey feel, loved they layout of the building and the beautiful land around. The owner Brett was very welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed and went above and beyond when we did need something.

There was truly nothing that we didn't like whilst staying at the cabin.

The apartment was in a quiet place. It was tidy and had all the basic amenities. The kitchen was well equipped with an electric toaster, sandwich grill, electric grilled frypan, ceramic electric cooktop and kettle. Brett was a welcoming host and made sure our stay was comfortable.

We were delighted and very happy with the accommodation, our host Brett, his lovely dog Chase, who was very respectful at all times and we loved the location. It was quiet, comfortable, with ripper internet!!! It was very clean and we respected that by taking our shoes off at the door. We will be back if at all possible. I really enjoyed hearing the birds morning and evening. Bush curlews, magpies and galahs were featured. The neighbours had ducks, chooks and guinea-fowl which made a lovely bucolic atmosphere. There was a short walk to the local beach too. Not for swimming though, but a nice walk nonetheless.

Nothing, we loved it. Location, just the BEST, being a short drive away from Kingscote and the local brewery too. We explored the so much of the island from there, and with local knowledge provided by Brett and the local information booklet he'd left out, we were able to cover all the things we wanted to in the week we were there.
