Duke Street - Liverpool city centre apartment

The property was decorated with good taste. It was a very spacious property, just what I like. The property had a more than decent level of equipment except for a glaringly obviously missing piece of kitchen equipment the humble microwave.

The property had the potential to be the best property I have stayed in my frequent trips to Liverpool. It was in a great location with easy access to the City Centre. However I can’t understand why the property owner fills that a fully equipped kitchen doesn’t need a microwave. In the end I had to buy my own microwave. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable and dropped in and out at random which made it difficult to attend online meetings. At the weekend I like to have a lie in, unfortunately this was not possible due to the window blind being too small for the bedroom window. The lack of a sanity disposal unit in the bathroom or bedroom wasn’t ideal, if you don’t want your toilet blocked. You might also need to invest in a better hygiene advise because the property was dusty and the stained mattress lacked a mattress protector.

We stayed 3 nights whilst down in Liverpool for a concert. Apartment was in a great location with only a short walking distance to all of the shops/restaurants and Albert Dock. Apartment was clean and communication with the host was great. Apartment had everything you would need. It was convenient for us collecting keys at the shop as we arrived by train and the shop was on our walk to the apartment.

Everything was fine, arrived when the weather was hot so had to keep windows open at night with restaurants/bars open till late and quite noisy but unavoidable.

Location

Having to pick up and drop off keys at a different location. This should be mentioned in the listing prior to booking. There is no microwave, which is a first for me in a full kitchen apartment. The cooking implements were below basic needs. The bathroom shower/bath tap ware was not working, so it wasn't possible to shower. The plug for the bath didn't fully seal, so the bath water leaked out. It should also be mentioned in the listing that the apartment is above an entertainment/restaurant area and can be very noisy until after 11.30 at night.

This property is a gem both in regards to facities and location. A.fee steps from excellent restaurants and a short easy walk from the city centre. The contact from/with the owner has been easy and helpful Added bonus is parking and a balcony over looking a small square of restaurants. The bed was comfy - infact we felt very comfortable in the apartment. Ample crockery, cups etc We were warm. lots of sockets. I would certainly use here again Oh small tip - perhaps take an extra towel with you if you meed one for your hair!! Or if you like them extra large :-)
